I find it hilarious (not in a good way) how many people every year continually try to pet the bison or sit next to a bear or have a midnight snack in their tent even though ever year dozens of injuries happen from these exact situations. You think people would learn….Thanks, I'm already back in Missouri. I noticed quite a few campgrounds east of Yellowstone also required hard sided campers. Even the large Grant Campground in Yellowstone had a black bear visit looking for food while I was there.
You have to be careful in Yellowstone with the animals. They look tame but are not. While I was there a woman got gored in the chest by a Bison, and had to be helicoptered to a local hospital.
I entered Yellowstone from Bear Tooth, which was incredible. I'll post some pictures soon. Cooke City is a cool little town!
Beartooths are awesome!! I want to go back and spend a good couple weeks there.
