They need to go back to monitoring power plants and means testing emissions regulations but these little bureaucracies grow and grow and consume more and more until they're doing tyrannical shit like this.

One one hand I think it's impressive I can be next to the tailpipe of my diesel and the exhaust is barely detectable, and having grown up in a metropolitan city in the 70s I still remember choking from exhaust, but the bureaucracy is way too big and its "victims" are way too small.
As a Libertarian, as long as no one’s directly harming someone, why should we be nannied to death by nameless, faceless pencil pushers?

Ill save my more radical views for Gab, but basically need to strip the power, size and authoritah of these agencies and make them directly accountable to us, period.

…?

Anyone who comes in contact with the Neanderthal who is rolling coal is harmed. You’ll notice that clean air….isn’t black.

Last time I checked EV’s weren’t running off plutonium…

I’ve never understood the appeal of rolling coal. Like, congrats…your vehicle is running inefficiently?

Also, lets not forget child labor to mine the materials as well.

Ill deal with diesel fumes rather than all the above

I didn’t claim EV’s were totally green. They are still a car, cars require manufacturing, manufacturing requires raw materials, etc etc. Just poking fun at the ridiculous claim that they’re irradiating people and spontaneously combusting. The combustion isn’t random, it always has a cause. Typically it’s a failure in the battery.

Frankly I think hybrids, like the 4xe, are what make the most sense.

Just because you have no problem sucking on a tailpipe doesn’t mean that everyone else should have to.

Also there is just as much child labor involved in the phone/laptop you’re reading this on.

I’m willing to bet your “libertarian” values would go out the window reallllll quick if your neighbors decided to build walls 6” on their side of the property line and paint the side facing you with -insert whatever annoys you the most (…clean air?). After all, they’re not directly harming you so they should be able to do whatever they want, right? ?

Not really, or Toyota would have had one years ago. Diesel engines weigh more. They are better for long term running and not so much the short term use of the typical hybrid.

Personally just prefer diesel to all these hybrids and ev’s, so long as emissions are gutted for reliability, power and longevity

I haven't read the entire Clean Air Act, but at what point do they bust us or anyone for "Tampering" with an approved powertrain package?

Light bar, tires, wheels, gears, winch, top, rack, tent, or just anything that adds weight, wind drag, load, or otherwise reduces fuel economy could possibly be argued against the act? I'm in the aftermarket business and wonder if the EPA will come knocking on my door when they run out of the easy score diesel/performance shops to bust? By then I'll be retired, but will they still prosecute?

As leadership changes over to the following generations, the policies will just become that much more liberal and unconstitutional judging by what we are already seeing. People are just handing/voting away their rights just to have an easier life? Were already seeing is inside of these government organizations where the people in upper positions promote their own minded people to carry on the torch and finish to work.

Here in CA, people are already suing like crazy for any project they don't want using the "California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)" as the weapon. Semi locally when Newscum announced closing the high desert prison, the people in that area used the act because they knew the prison employment is a HUGE part of the economy and could finish the town. That's NOT what the act was written for, yet people will twist it and tie things up in court for decades!

Maybe not worry too much since we are circling the toilet bowl anyway (In CA were in the sewer pipe on the way to the septic tank already).
All reasons why I left my home state.

Sounds like sinister diesel just needs to start a crypto company and donate funds to the right people who make the rules. It's the American way.

The bigger problem is the chemical companies which get to turn everything toxic with the permission of the EPA until Americans figure out what’s happening and the EPA starts to back pedal. Removing emissions from diesels would account for less than 1% of overall pollutants compared to what the chemical manufacturers put out.

I’ve never been interested in rolling coal in my ecodiesel but it would be nice to have more power and reliability.
