Jeep powertrain warranty is 5 years, 100K miles.
He's got a 3rd party service contract (what some call a warranty) so he's covered anyway.
The contract administrators appear to be taking care of it. Some are pretty decent that way (and some aren't)

I traded my 2020 at 27,000 miles - never had a misfire at all, no coolant consumption, no misfires, no oil consumption. someone likely got a decent used truck.
But you never know with used - could be a diamond, could be a lump of coal.

uhh.. I don't believe it is. It is 5/60. Maybe the diesel is 100k..

EDIT: If I'm wrong that makes me happy :)

YOU are correct, I missed that detail in his post.
It's absolutely 5 years, 60,000 miles for the powertrain warranty.

The DIESEL is 5/100,000 but not the gas and it's interesting that both are still 5 years, only the mileage is higher in the diesel.

Thats a new one on me .. Mine is 75,000 and only because I bought an extended warranty ...Never heard of a 100k on drivetrain.

You've not bought or looked into diesel, then - DIESEL only - (below from Google)

Hmm, interesting to say the least. I just called Chrysler and they told me once my Jeep hits 75K then they will sell me additional mileage warranty on drivetrain. I'm at 74394 now. I don't know why I have to wait till it runs out before it can be extended. I said so if I git 75k while I'm driving and then on the way home to call and set up the additional coverage it blows up what then ? They literally told me I'm screwed with no coverage . Sorta ludicrous.

The longer you wait to add coverage the more expensive it usually is. And that makes good sense -

I think 2015 was the last year FCA offered 5/100K mile powertrain warranty for gas vehicle.

Well, they were gonna replace the other head... They think they found metal bits.. Trying to get the aftermarket warranty company to approve a new 3.6.

Hope it works out that way. Those 3rd party warranty companies do like installing Junkyard pulls with similar mileage though.

Just sent my Gladiator (18881 miles) to service with misfire cylinder 5. Hope it isn’t too serious, especially given they are two techs short and parts hard to get. Just left here this morning, not something I had expected to see with so few miles

What did you use to read the code to determine cylinder 5?
Wondering as often, with the correct software, you can also determine if it's ignition or otherwise. we had a 2021 with a weird misfire - just one cylinder, and I was fortunate enough to catch it in the act, grab specifics, and a freeze frame. It was an ignition misfire. It was running smooth as silk by the time I got it to the dealership but I had captured enough info they at least had leads and knew it was ignition.
They found a TSB for ignition misfires with the 2021 3.6 - spark plugs.
I believe it started acting up around 800 miles or so if I recall - talk about a low miles thing.

I used an iCar ProOBDII interface module that my son uses on his Jeep as I do not have any modern test equipment in my garage (I have ‘50 Chevy pickup w/283 and 350 powered roadster, they are pretty basic). Not used to this new space shuttle technology they cram under our hoods these days. Have to leave it in the hands of the younger, more tech savvy guys. Fingers crossed that simple, quick fix takes care of it. Ocean City Jeep Week coming up soon, would like to take it
