Hey all.
Obviously, interest rates are high right now, but that has not stopped Nissan from running a 0% 60 month deal on the titan, Ram from running a 72 month low apr deal on the big horn 1500s recently, and other manufacturers from doing the same for their trucks.

Is there any reason to believe that Jeep will do a financing incentive for the Gladiator in the coming months? I am thinking about trading in my 21 Sport S for a 23 Rubicon or a 23 Sport S Max Tow, but there is no way that is going to happen with today’s rates. The current finance “incentive” in my area on gladiators is 6.9%. Thanks for the input!

I don't think most of us would see a time where 6.9% is considered good but here we are. That's really good currently but I feel you. I personally don't see anything going down below 5% soon. I'm sure Jeep is holding out that people will buy 23's with the strike.

The Titan financing may have had to do with the Titan being sunsetted by Nissan. Our local CDJR dealers were doing 0% on select Ram trucks, but only 2022 Model years.
I think it’s overall cheaper to discount than to offer 0% financing right now, and Gladiators are already experiencing some heavy markdowns.

A bird in the hand….

Jeep is relying on steep discounts right now to move Gladiators, the sales of which have been in the toilet this year. They have around 250 days of 2023 inventory left just as 2024s start arriving - 2023s are going to be on dealer lots well into 2025. You can now get close to 25% off MSRP at some dealerships. Not sure how they continue to do that and offer a very low APR at the same time.

You might be better off finding a credit union or bank to borrow the money from and then going to a dealership with cash in hand in November or December and make the best deal you'll likely ever get on a new vehicle.

Prices going down is great but that isn't going to affect the APR unfortunately which was the original question.

There’s 2 2022’s still on a dealer lot near me. They’re both Rubi’s with Manual Trans, but the dealer won’t sell them because of a supposed recall ??

FCA just had a 1.9%/72mos incentive on sport models last month. There is a dealer near me offering 0% for 72 months, but you supposedly can’t get the 10% incentives that are currently being offered in addition to the financing offer. Unfortunate because I’d jump all over some of the vehicles they have on the lot if I could both. As I’m sure many others would.

Current incentives wrap up Oct 2, which is only what, 10 days from now? Stellantis is probably already looking at how much the current incentives are moving the needle versus their goals, and next month's incentives will be set accordingly. We won't know what they are until Oct 3.

But to really answer your question, like @Ouchie said, they've already done an APR incentive recently (though I think it was only in Texas), so it wouldn't be wildly out of character for them to do it again.

0% financing is often in lieu of discounts. The dealer and the captive lender is always going to make their money. Do the math and you MAY find that a 10-20% discount more than makes up for the finance charges you would have saved with a lower APR.

Thanks for the responses all! I guess we will see what the future brings. As far as dealers not being willing to combine the discount and the APR… Well, I have a gladiator already that my wife and I really enjoy, with payments that are fine and it has stayed above water equity wise so far. I just wanted a little more towing for comfort on cross country type trips one day. I am not desperate to purchase, so they will just lose a sale if they can’t make it make sense. ? I have a ballpark price/payment I want to be at, and I’ll just walk if they can’t do it, no hard feelings.
