Anyone go with more narrow 35” tires?

Deleted member 58561

I’m not a fan of tires sticking out from under the fender flares. I prefer them to be tucked nicely under the factory flares since I largely prefer a vehicle to look more factory in styling. That said, I also want a modest lift (thinking the 2” Mopar will do it) and 35” tires, which seems a nice happy medium between going big, and staying stock.

My question is, does anyone run something like a 35x11.5 tire or more narrow? We used to call it “cookie-cutters” back in the day. Really just looking for a larger tire that tucks better than the usual 35x12.5.

If so, pictures of your setup including specs are always greatly welcomed ?

Thanks!

Yes, 11.5 x 35...fit stock wheels much better, less stick out causing road rash on paint, perform the same

@IamFrank a lot of tire manufacturers have jumped on the ban wagon and are now producing the "Pizza Cutter" sizes. 35X11.50R17. Many forum members are using the skinnies for snow. :like:

Does narrow vs wide affect the need for regear? Like, is it easier to get a narrow or wider tire rolling, or same? I understand the contact patch and weight per inch, just don’t know enough about gears.

Could you tell me which manufacturers do and if any of them are E rated? It seems hard to find the info. Thanks!

You can also look at 255/85R17 size, which is 35x10x17. I run this size on my 2-door JKR.

Those look great! Thank you

I have been saying it wrong this whole time? Been calling them “cookie cutters”. No wonder my searches have been less than fruitful. Thank you! I will look into that.

I put on Toyo AT III's last month. 35X11.5X17. C rated and same weight as the original 33' Falkens. Loving them so far. Rides and handles better than the 33's.

Here is my stock Mojave.

Man, that looks just right. Mine is just a barebones Sport but I plan to get OE style high line fender flares. Thanks for the pics!

I don’t know where you are, but I have a set of Kenda Klever 35X10.5r17 that I just took off of my Jeep I’m going to sell.

15,000 miles on them.

I am in Northern California
Ah thanks anyway but I’m in Texas.

I am the same way. I didn't want the tires throwing mud and crap down the side.
I went with the Nitto Trail Grappler 35x11.5 on Rockbridge 17x9 rims. The wheels have a little more offset than I wanted, but they put the tire right at the edge of the flare.
