That tub is all about momentum. Devils is the steepest one up there. I've only seen high horsepower buggies make it out.

Long video but it shows the commitment it takes to get out of that one. Momentum is key. Too much and you bounce back down in there and start wondering what to do with what's left of your rig. Too much and you won't get past that passenger tire ledge. Not enough, you're pulling winch cable after a few tries. You can see how steep that is when the red JL tries to stop on the slope. It's just not going to happen.

Mickey's is a little further down the hill from Devils Hot tub. Less than a 1/4 mile or so, probably 1/8 mile? It's much more realistic for a full bodied rig to get out of that one.
So not the best example as ultimately it ran-away (he saved it…)….. 15:15 mark. Is a “low hp” vehicle…

Wheel base, tires….. not just HP.

As an active TDI enthusiast….. he nails it at the end of the video… TDI’s need a catch can period. Their design sucks so much oil through…. I run 27psi on the daily and without a catch can and reducer hose it would suck a quart every 3k miles through.

That's Mickey's tub. Devils is about twice as deep.

I think that's Richard Mick driving? I think he's a grandson but am not 100% on that. Definitely related to Dan Mick. I'll see if I can identify the driver later tonight?
Ah, so Devil's is the one before?

I didn't catch his name, but that was the Dan Mick tour, and there was another white Jeep that I think must have had Dan himself driving. The driver of the red Jeep looked to be about grandson age, and was a really cool, knowledgeable and nice guy. We were out there and kept running into them

This one is Devil's, correct?

Devil's is right at top past the "Car Wash" (the most mild "tub"). Mickey hot tub is just before the "Dragon's Tail" as you come down the slick rock. Once down, you cross the famous SlickRock Bike trail and head towards Escalator and Tip Over Challenge.

I stand by my statement and that video helps prove it.
Guy in your video knew his limitations, was a good driver,
tried to bump, didn't work,
GOT OFF THE GAS IMMEDIATELY,
backed down and tried a new line
He even took the time to heat up his tires while sawing the steering wheel.
most people do not know how much extra traction that can give you.
When he knew he stuck it and crested the lip, he stayed in it and never let the jeep bounce

First Brau [I couldn't resist]
Did none of the above and broke his shit

I'd have dumped some air pressure for sure. (Actually, I've never been in that tub. Don't have plans to have a rig that I'd take in there either)
