ValvoMax Quick Twist Oil Drain... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077Z9GQCB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Since this is getting views/bumped back up. I went with a valvomax made in America, designed by a Vet. Duplicate leak protection… on all the vehicles- no issues so far
Hmm. I really like my Femco. It's VERY low profile. But the Valvomax drain bag is brilliant. I may need to pick up a couple of them and adapt the output hose of the Femco to work with that.

Love changing my own oil. WalMart sells Mobil1 in the 5-quart jugs and also sells Mopar brand oil filters as well as the Mobil1 filter. Which is nice because when one is sold out, they usually have the other one. My local Advance Auto used to take used oil but they have now been claiming for going on 3 years, that their oil tank is full and refuse to take it. So I go across the street to Grease Monkey and they gladly accept the used oil. Hope that's informative and helps someone out!

Fumoto valve and a hose. Does not get any cleaner!
I second this. I gave away my pan. I keep the last empty 5 quart container and drain into that. I even had to do it on the road recently and just spent $2 on a couple feet of 3/8 hose. I’ve since even installed one on my wife’s Volvo. No more mess. They’re amazing.

The only down side to the Fumoto is how far it sticks out on a Jeep.

I've used Fumoto Valves for decades. This is the first vehicle I haven't put it on because it's vulnerable off road.

Femco has a decades long rep similar to Fumoto and this new brand referenced above looks good.

I'm estimating how far each stick out from the face of the bung on the oil pan. It's not exact, but pretty close.

oil bolt - 1/4 inch
Femco low profile - 3/8 inch

Fumoto - 2 1/2 inches.

I converted to the valvomax…. It’s literally on every vehicle now. I love the twist on- rout the hose through a small hole in the skid plates, straight into a jug- the secondary leak protection…. ??‍♂ in my opinion it’s all that and a bag of chips more than the other valves.

Photo of the VW…. Seriously disliked removing 20 screws to dump the plastic air diffuser in order to drain the oil….. future skid on the Jeep will be nice too….. no more slight breeze blowing oil onto the skid and running all over.

You need to pick the right Fumoto. They make low-profile versions.

I’d need to measure my fumoto, but it’s not 2.5”. It’s less. But I admittedly have an oil pan skid, so I don’t worry about it.

I should have clarified. I've always used the one with the hose nipple and want to continue to drain that way. I like draining into a bottle.

The Fumoto with the nipple is LOOONNG,.

This is the Femco on my Jeep. To start the flow you attach a fitting with a hose on it.

My fumoto is much smaller. Only drops a hair below the pan. But mine is protected by a skid.

Interesting. It even looks like it has a short nipple on it for a hose. If I had a skid plate, that would be perfect.

The gladiator is the easiest truck to do an oil change hands down. No need for ramps to drive up on and the oil filter is on top of the motor

Yup. Super easy. I used to just drive the front tires up onto a foot long piece of 2x8 just to get a bit more height. But since I put 35s on it, I don't even need that. Ha.

It does. I use Fumoto’s 3/8” hose with the white plastic end that snaps over the nipple. Works great.

I did my last change out of town, in the parking lot of an advance auto. Borrowed a 5 gallon bucket and bought a couple feet of 3/8” hose. I had room to spare with the bucket. They were worried I’d spill oil on their parking lot until I told them I had a valve. Not a drop.
