I have no first hand experience of, nor have I done any research on the eco diesels. But if it is Italian like he says, then yea I wouldn’t touch that with a 10 foot pole.

Everyone's favorite YouTube mechanic reviewing a 2023 Gladiator.

Seems enamored with the ZF transmission and despises the Italian-made Diesel Ecoboost.

Now let the fun begin...
HA, favorite YT mechanic.
There are drugs for controlling those arm movements.
Tried to watch, but already having trouble with dizziness and his video was sending me into a spin I haven't felt like I rode the tilt-a-whirl 4 times in a row non-stop.
Had to skip around and pick a few spots - just couldn't handle the whole thing, especially after he showed how little he knew about the transmission.

His bit about the transmission - no, dude, ZF did not make that transmission. Jeep did under license from ZF.

Bottom line - where has this guy been? LOL - like all of that stuff is new or unique.
Can't believe some of the comments below that video. Wow.

I made it 51 seconds.
I'd be proud of that if he was that little blonde I like on FOX Weather, and not a flailing spasmodic old guy.
It was more a clown show - especially when he talked.
It was like this was the first Jeep he's ever seen and once I ran into some of the not quite correct information, I had to end it (besides, I was getting more dizzy and I'm not joking)

You made it farther than I did the first time I tried to watch him. I won't even attempt to watch this one.

Scotty is right about the diesel engine. I owned an Alpha Romeo 33TD station wagon with a 3 cylinder turbo diesel engine. A friggin nightmare! It had a VM 1.8 liter turbo. I was replacing cylinder heads every 5000 km. Crappy design with cast iron jugs and aluminum heads. I totaled it after about 1 year of ownership and a lot of money to keep it on the road. Never again. And, to think that company is making the diesel motor in the Jeeps? I have the Pentastar motor and I am happy with that.

None of your business.
Scotty Kilmer is a genuine piece of garbage. All of his lame trash videos are festooned with click-bait and he's a terribly stupid person. If he can't even be honest in his video screen grabs, why would he be honest at anything else? I cant stand that YT puts them in my feed.

He is human filth and his mind has never matured past the 70s and 80s --when he was clearly doing very heavy drugs. His homoerotic love for Toyota is the clearest red flag.

What was done to keep those running to those numbers? EGR delete, DEF delete, etc?

My only doubts are the percentage with the fuel pump issues.
I don't often see other problems, especially in large numbers.
That's the other thing that bugged me about his video - dissing the engine because of where it was designed or made, or who it shares design areas with? He's so prejudiced I'd never trust anything he says.

But hey, that Austrian made ZF transmission behind the 3.6, that's an engineering marvel, isn't it?!
