Hope this is posted in the proper area.
Let me start, this is only partially my design. There are tons of them on YouTube. I took a few ideas and combined them. I thought this might interest some people and didn't see any. These are a cross of pictures from mock up and final. I added the pressure relief valve, along with a Schrader valve. I have good house water pressure, so when I fill the tube, I don’t need air. It will fill and pressurize all by itself. I added the Schrader valve incase I fill up when not home. Then I can use a hand pump or electric to pressurize. The blow off valve is just for protection and it was $7.

½ turn valve was purchased from Home Depot

Schrader valve from Auto Zone

The 4” PVC I had laying around and “borrowed” the T from my son ?.
Hind sight..... I would not have added that to the tube as I don’t need it to fill the tank tube that way.

I had quick release fittings.

Need some hose double male and female connectors

100 Psi Set Pressure relief valve. If it get too hot or something, the relief valve will pop and nothing will brake.

This is awesome and I may try to make on my own. How do you ensure nothing grows inside? Is there a way to completely dry this out?

I think you could use an RV tank sanitizer but to answer you second question, I am sure you would be able to dry it out by removing the top cover but with one caveat - what do you think will fly or crawl in while you have the cover off?

I am not using as drinking water, mainly rinsing surf poles from salt water or grandbabies feet. Its basically a sealed environment. Not too concerned, but you could take the cap off the T fitting to clean if you wanted. Then reseal.

It's also too cold in MD for additional work on it. I need to lightly sand and repaint. I am keeping the dark gray vs black, as I have concerns about the water getting too hot.

There is a ton of YouTube videos that may really answer your question.

Rhino rack makes a nice mount/bracket for the tube. I ran one on my jk- make sure the faucet end is mounted low and the relief valve high…. I added a 45* (should have done a 22.5*) coupler on the end I had my faucet mounted to in order to get the faucet just a bit lower….. otherwise you will find the tank only 3/4 usable…

looks great. They are super useful- shower, dog rinse, bike rinse etc.
