3 weeks! It was OEM and had it replaced with GG. Then the GG got cracked in 4 months and had that replaced with OEM glass. That lasted about 2 months and replaced with OEM glass. Safelite did not have any GG in stock at the time. Now looking/researching windshield protective films.

Same here, I was driving home to get the pink slip for my trade-in, about 2 miles from the dealer and the car about 1/4 mile ahead of me picked up a rock and it bounced a few times before hitting my windshield.
Found out that day that my salesman was lying about what was covered by the protection plan we purchased, the first of many lies we were told by Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT of Santa Fe.

I have my own opinion of this family chain of dealerships but "Lies" sums it up. Yes I have had multiple windshields but the "Lies" that came out of my experience with this group was unmatched. From the salesman to the manager is was rotten to the core!

We got our 2 22 JTRD my son got a rock chip about 2 miles from the dealership his first ever new car! Went out in the morning to a 3 inch crack he has 54k miles on his of his 4th windshield 1 which was the upgraded glass.

On my Wrangler, driving back home from the glass shop after getting my windshield replaced. Left home with a cracked windshield and got home with one. I quit after that. Now it's a badge of honor I have around 12 rock hits and cracks.

I got my first crack as I approached the Canada / Alaska border during my first trip. I picked up my Gladiator in Houston, Texas on June 17th, 2019, ordered from the factory, and was on a five month, 25,000 mile road trip. Made all the way up and it was early August and a huge RV was heading south and got me!

I’ve had about three more since and I’m at 106,000.

not a crack windshield.. but I rear-ended the 3rd day of ownership, and the kicker was That I was stopped for a school bus. Honestly, I am happy it was my truck instead of a child trying to go to school.
