You know the last thing I'm thinking about out on the trails is..."I wish my power seat had a memory." "This leather sure is plush". "This gigantic screen sure is nice."

I know I'm kind of ranting here but I was out this weekend for the day on my monthly trip and could have cared less about that stuff. Front sway bar disconnect, 4H/4L, off-road+ on occasion and the rear locker are what I'm thinking of. Front locker if I'm in up to my rock rails in rocks but hat's few and far between.

The stuff we're complaining about Jeeps not having and then they add it then the price goes up then we complain that the price went up...when does it end?

Now, the full float axles...come on...give that to us! That's a reliability thing. My Gladiator is fully loaded for a 2020. I just want useful upgrades to make it more dependable and sturdy. Give us the some fender flare extensions...throw us a bone where it matters! (or at least matters to me.)
Buy a sport, toss in a rear locker a take off Rubi locker, or oro swaylock, anti rock and have your cheap off roader for way less. Not a do it yourself, buy a base Rubicon for under 50k. No one forces you to buy a fully loaded truck if all you want is a trail truck.

Mostly loaded canyon at4, 70k+, Colorado zr2 bison 65k+, trd pro 65k+, ranger raptor 60k+...

All the top off road models are in the 60-70k range. There are relatively cheap gladiators all the way to really expensive gladiators. Obviously there must be a market or none of the truck makers would be making trucks in that price range.
But whats a $70k mojave have that a non-Bison ZR2 doesnt have? The ZR2 is fully loaded at $52,800 pretty much. Adaptive cruise, LED headlights, lockers, heated wheel, electric adjustable leather heated and cooled seats etc.

You can't even make a Ranger Raptor $60k unless you tack on every dumb little dealer accessory. The only major thing you can add is a spray in bed liner. They are basically fully loaded at their $55k base price.

So again, where does that $15-18k come from? You dont even get a front locker on a Mojave.

Also, the AT4X interior is WAY nicer than the JT. I sat in a Colorado WT today and it was damn near as nice as some of the gladiator rubicons I sat in :CWL:

I don't use it just as a trail truck. But I also don't expect it to do everything for everyone. I think there are meaningful upgrades they can make and then there are the upgrades that just keep raising the price. I bought a Rubicon because that's what I wanted and have had in the past with my Wrangler JK two-door and it's my very first automatic, talk about luxury! I just think we ask too much of the Gladiator platform and I'm playing devil's advocate.

We want all these plush things and then complain about the prices those things end up costing. Regardless of my tantrum here it is what it is. I feel like the forum wants it to tow like an F350, have the interior of a plush euro tourer and be able to go do King of the Hammers.

Try a Rubicon, mojave has always been a terrible deal imo because it costs as much as a Rubicon for less capability. Short travel bypass shocks in exchange for a disconnecting sway bar and front locker, no thanks.

Even then, the bison is the comparable one to the Mojave x in terms of suspension and capability and it's within 5k. The non bison has the shit suspension compared to a mojave, no ability to run anything bigger than 32s with out cutting, and minimal flex as well as the weaker ifs limitations. Sure they both will get you down dirt roads, but you should be comparing a Willy's to the zr2 non bison, not a Rubicon or Mojave.

I think the issue is that for what it is, it is substantially overpriced. When the competition can do similar with a lower price point it is a bit galling. But maybe they always were overpriced at the upper trims. I remember when I was younger and thinking "A Wrangler Sahara for $21K? That's nuts."

Maybe that's the Jeep thing we've heard aboutt?

Mojave is the far superior on road truck compared to a Rubicon, all other features aside. That suspension is much more compliant than the Rubicon and lesser trims. The Mojave also has those nice sport bolsters in the seats, Rubicon doesn't. As a daily driver the Mojave is the better option. Realistically, the Rubicon's advantages are for rock crawlers more than any other category.

Buuuuut the competition, Raptor and GM twins have more power than the admittedly reliable but long in the tooth Pentastar, are better on road and near or equal off road to the JTR and JTM and have nicer interiors. Yes, you can't take the top off but the GM Twins have a moonroof.

You are talking about the old ZR2. The new one has factory 285/70’s, just like a Mojave/Rubicon, and can run 315/70’s. Its DSSV shocks are the same as whats on the Bison. The Bison gets hydraulic bump stops in addition to the DSSV.

And that doesnt even get into the fact that the Colorado’s 2.7 is significantly better than, and Raptor 3.0 absolutely destroys, the Pentastar performance wise.

100% agree, the Mojave is definitely better on road truck than the Rubicon, but I actually found the overland to be the best on road only truck overall, the suspension was my favorite personally on road.

I am going to miss all you Colorado fan boys when you leave. ...............Maybe.
No, not a Colorodo fan boy, just not a Gladiator fan boy either. Calling it how it is.

Jeep has 15% off rebates and still can’t get the 2023’s off the lots which suggests I’m right, and you just like paying the Jeep tax, like the Toyota boys, for the honor to drive one ?

You do realize the gladiator moved more trucks q4 than the Colorado, canyon, ranger, Ridgeline, and frontier. Seems like the incentives actually did work.

You fall in the same trap that Wrangler naysayers also do, mistake the Gladiator is in a numbers race with other manufacturers.

Gladiator is tied into the Wrangler for most of it's development and lifecycle changes. Never going to be bleeding edge keeping up with the Jones's.

BTW, you have skin in the game? I see every vehicle but a Gladiator listed in your profile byline.

Chevy sucks. Ford Raptor is too big and the doors don't come off.

Gladiator wins every time in its segment.... the ultimate off road truck. It's unique. The ZR2 is just another mid sized.

Go to Moab with the top and doors off. Then try a ZR2.

Tell me which experience was better.

Those other trucks may have more stuff at a cheaper price....they are also invisible, when do really ever notice them on the road? Love it or hate it, the gladiator will not be ignored.
