Saw this the other day. Not sure if they make one for a gladiator

Looks like it fits a Gladiator!! And starting at $5,600, seems pretty reasonable. I like how it's wide enough so you can sleep across it. To sleep in a Gladiator shell you have to go wide or sleep up top, like in mine. That is if you are taller than 5 ft.

I love the idea but being that wide on AZ trails isn’t gonna work for me. I’d hate to rip it open on a rock wall or big tree.
Good point. I definitely like that my Gladiator tires rub the trees long before my sidewall does. I couldn't go down Missouri Jeep trails with my old Tundra, because it was so wide.

I just found this! It looks like Mopar is getting into the Overlanding game.

I've seen that one online already, kinda cool setup. The tent can come off and just run the canopy. There is also access from the canopy to the tent.
The article I saw mentioned being able to buy the canopy and then add the tent at a later time.
I'm sure buying it in 2 separately purchases would cost more, but it might make it easier for some.
Or, a person could spec it with their order for their Gladiator in the beginning. Wish this would of been an option for me.

The retractable roof is a very cool idea. It looks like a retractable pickup bed cover. I'm guessing it is also the retractable sleeping bed platform.

Well I tried to run my Diesel Heater in -10F temperatures in St. Louis last week, but my Pecron 600LPF doesn't work below freezing temperatures. So here's my fix for when my Pecron Lithium Power supply is frozen.

I installed a bypass switch to my truck's cigarette lighter, so that it stay's powered even when the engine is off. Now if my Lithium Power is frozen, I can just run my Diesel Heater off my Gladiator's starter battery. I just have to make sure that I switch over to my Lithium Power once it is warmed up. Using my truck battery for the heater is just a backup, as I don't want to run it dry.

BF Campers (found reviews from 2022 that look identical to the above, but all links are dead)
https://www.bynd4x4.com/

I suspect there's a factory zone in China that's producing generic camper parts and flat-packing variations of them to vendors for assembly and sale, each with their own brand and fitments. It's clear that none of these are 100% exactly the same, but there are too many commonalities to be just convergent design by many different suppliers.

Not saying this is good or bad per se. One of the versions above appears to be riveted together in the corners, which, in an aluminum product that undergoes a lot of torsion off-roading, would give me pause. The others look like maybe they have a cover plate hiding where rivets might be. None of them have much detail about the construction, or even really basic info like dimensions.

Maybe these will be fine, and if it's half the price of a GFC maybe 'fine' is all it has to be. Personally I wouldn't touch one until seeing lots of detailed reviews by real people, and a chance to inspect in person.

If anyone sees any other brand new generic camper brands appearing out of thin air, post 'em up here...

Like INCA4x4's

I wonder if it would be wise to drill out each rivet and replace with Rivnuts?

Capitalism at work here. With more of these on the market, the prices of even the trusted name brand variants will have to come down. Another bonus would be the standardization of parts across multiple brands and models. All of which is a net positive to the consumer

I'm almost positive dirtbox makes all there stuff here in the USA. Can't say anything about the others though. I have been speaking with Addex and I have the pricing for both the camper and tent that I can post.

I just looked more into BYND4x4 and did some searching on YouTube to find some more walk throughs on how there set up works. Idk why but turning the comment off on there videos makes me weary of ever looking at them as an option. Like they don't want to hear what there customers have to say or what they want.

The weather finally broke in Missouri. It's sunny and 35F this morning. Good day for a 10 mile single track ride.
