Peace of mind at last! Replaced main battery with a premium H7/Group 94 battery

I removed the aux battery, replaced the main battery with a premium H7/Group 94 battery, and installed a SmartStartStop device. Ahhh! No more worries except for peace and world hunger.

The battery tray is big enough for a 94R battery. If you have a 48R there is a spacer piece in the tray that can be removed.

Laying the quest for typos aside for the time being, how well does the Smart Stop Start device work? I like the idea of eliminating ESS, but I don't mind pressing the ESS disable button if adding this device would eliminate the remote start feature. I know that the device maker claims it doesn't, but what is your experience with it?

This device is fairly benign. It just remembers whether you want ESS on or off and keeps the computer updated. It's mostly the hack methods, like taking the hood plunger out of its bracket, that interfere with the Remote Start operation.

I looked at the cheap versions on Ebay and Amazon but was put off by the reviews (not reliable). The SmartStoptart has the reputation of being absolutely reliable. So far mine has worked as advertised.

BTW, I've been hitting the button to turn off the stop start for 3 years. Mostly I don't remember until the first time my engine stops.

Have had one for over a year now, works perfect and dealer’s never said a word. Haven’t used the stop stop since I put it.

Tell more about the aux batt removal. Did you leave that space empty? Or add a different batt ? i want to put a small deep cycle in there, connect to an inverter and isolator and drive the winch and 120v outlet
