The number of typos on that webpage makes me question the quality of the item being sold.
Its actually a well built, well functioning device. It does exactly what it advertises. I have had mine for over a year, no error msgs, codes, warning lights or issues like "other" fixes ...

Not sure what grammar has to do with the quality of the device... so hopefully you haven't bought anything from China recently, we all know how good the installation manuals are.

Before the rest of the grammar policy pounce on me... yes my grammar/punctuation sucks.

There is always that one guy who wants to play but doesn't have anything to add to the conversation. Today you are that guy. I have an idea for something you can do. List the typos on the home page of the website I shared.
Agreed

The device will not affect warranty... it easily installs/uninstall . The device just "remembers" your last setting and keeps it. Nothing intrusive or damaging to the vehicle. (Atleast this particular device, can't comment on the cheaper knockoffs).

Like already said - 0 impact on warranty. My take is that it can't even be detected since it simply sits there and at the right time, does a "button press" for you. In other words, it won't be different than if you had pressed the button to disable ESS shortly after you started your Jeep.
So it's really not magic or anything detectible. The only thing that might be seen should some sharp-eyed tech happen to note the ESS off light come on after every start........ still, it's not hurting anything.
It really doesn't even disable ESS - it only does the exact same thing a human would do by pressing the button. Off for that session - not "disabled". It's still all there, fully functional otherwise.

Don't be afraid of the device, I guess is my thinking.

Laying the quest for typos aside for the time being, how well does the Smart Stop Start device work? I like the idea of eliminating ESS, but I don't mind pressing the ESS disable button if adding this device would eliminate the remote start feature. I know that the device maker claims it doesn't, but what is your experience with it?
It does nothing more than REMEMBER your last setting, so you don't have to push the button each time.... thats it... its a one trick pony.

If it's like the circuit I saw a guy post plans for a while back, it goes inline with the ESS off switch in the dash and does the push for you - fakes a button press after the vehicle gets a big button start command.
His circuit waited a couple of seconds, it was a timer, faked a button press.
it's not anything else or more.
It's just something that remembers to press the button for you after each start.

Still would like to find those online plans again - it was a very very simple safe circuit design.

I have the Tazer mini for the ess setting and did my tires and gears with it also. There are other settings I want to do but I am a little scared of messing everything up. I want to do the rear locker and sway bar. Don't want to touch the lights.

Sorry if this has been covered. If the posts are reversed is it a pita to rearrange the cables? I don’t want a headache to do that battery. I’m too old and tired. Thanks

I'm not sure what you are writing about. Could you try again?

The last place you want that kicking in........... or any distractions, for that matter. Enjoy the drive and view.

Positive cable(s) likely won't reach, you need an **R battery, R means reversed.

I don't like messing with the cables when the solution is simply the R type.
(in the old days, the F seemed to do the trick - but then, that dates me a bit - and the F is something like 1/2" longer but it was a common swap years ago.
Today, the 24 and 24R would be the same dimensions with reversed terminals.

Andy thanks for the heads up on the Walmart battery. The specs and price are the best I’ve seen.

I also need to get 2 batteries for my F-350 diesel this summer before my trip out West and these have the best specs and prices for that size as well. I can usually get 4 years about of a battery and change them at that point to avoid any issues if I’m out in the sticks.

Thanks again!
