...and are we talking open bed, canopy, tonneau??? Basically what are you lighting and how much light are you looking for....apparently more than what the existing bed lights offer?what kind of power source will you be using?
Just a 12 volt USB if possible I have a ARB setup with some USB outlets on therewhat kind of power source will you be using?

Not trying to be difficult here but need some clarification in order to steer you the right direction. What is this "ARB setup"? A portable power station?Just a 12 volt USB if possible I have a ARB setup with some USB outlets on there
The advantage of RGB is you can do red or amber lights that won't attract some insects and will protect your night vision if you are out camping or stargazing. The downside is added complexity and looking like a plonker when you inevitably make them cycle through all the colors.Any recommendations for truck bed lighting, led strip, warm light or rgb?

That's why I was asking for clarification on what he is looking for, because there is a lot of different bed lighting for different purposes:I used BajaDesigns rock lights. 4 of them. Lots of light, and very low power draw. If one goes out, only one needs to be replaced, not and entire LED strip.

Yeah that was my first thought as well. Maybe he doesn't know yet until he sees others though? I have been thinking about swapping the whites out for amber but I only really use the cargo lights to find things in the dark. When camping for the most part I still stick with an old school lantern for that camping 'feel'. But will probably add some amber lights for cooking/cleanup after dark. I like the cyclones they're a good quality option. That's why I was asking for clarification on what he is looking for, because there is a lot of different bed lighting for different purposes:

Yeah, my canopy was the first gen Alu-Cab Expedition Canopy so it came with white LED strips on each door (the newer gen comes with tri-color lights). Like you, I don't just sit around with them on; but when it came time to sort things for the night or after dark kitchen work, I noticed it was a bug fest. I figured I'd try the ambers and as best as I can tell, the bug density is much less...but maybe it was seasonal or just an area with minimal flying insects.Yeah that was my first thought as well. That looks pretty good. I will probably just swap out for amber BD lights for consistency, but I think with the LJ I might try some KC lights this time. They don't have the same amount of 'power', but they are still great lights and have that old school feel to them. It sounds from Brad they came out with a new series that is pretty darn powerful as well. What I do really like about KC is they have so many more options compared to the 'pro' options of BD and LuminX. Which its always nice to have plenty of options.Yeah, my canopy was the first gen Alu-Cab Expedition Canopy so it came with white LED strips on each door (the newer gen comes with tri-color lights). I have the Cyclones everywhere on my Jeeps; 8 rock lights on all 3 Jeeps, 2 under hood lights on all 3 Jeeps and then the canopy lights on the JTR. I've been really happy with them. Here's how I did them on the canopy doors:
1) the basic parts used. I love the surface mount that they sell for the lights in this application

The only down side to the mount is that it is design to have the wires penetrate the surface it is mounted to which doesn't really work on the canopy doors; but a little Dremel work made them just right:
