Sort of. It was me with JT and trailer helping a neighbor get his son's car to a shop for repairs.
It was dead, so needed an easy way to load and haul to town.
He's over 80 and not walking around so well any more. His son was gone, working as a construction truck driver so I said I'd be happy to help.
Gave me a chance to test out the theories of my ATV winch mounted on the trailer as well.
That @#$% car was a PAIN to connect straps too - really low riding with the spoiler and all - getting straps around those big wide fat GM lower control arms almost has me thinking of some choice words.

Nice - his garage has a drop just like mine to keep water out, and it works perfect for my tilt-bed - no ledge or ridge to get over (but was a tripping hazard for us older folks)

The target -

And.......... we're off. With all the engine and transmission weight at the back, had to pull it a lot farther forward than normal.

Getting straps around those lower control arms - what a #@$%

Neither my neighbor or I had a good charged 12v battery to run my trailer's ATV winch from so we used a heavy battery charger he had. Worked - for a while, then either I blew a fuse or something in my trailer winch controller as it stopped about 3/4 up. I think it was under-amped and just didn't like that running from a battery charger.
But it was a learning experience, too - we both figured that if powered from my trailer connector, it might just work!
Or run heavy cables back there and rig a connector to run it from off the battery up front, either way. May try the trailer connector idea first as it's fused at 35 amps and with the truck running, shouldn't have voltage drop.
It worked for quite a while, so I'm closer to getting it perfected.
That 2500 pound winch didn't get hot and wasn't really working that hard.

It's so easy to maneuver a rig like this with a JT. Love the combination.
Nice trailer !

Don't know, didn't have to go too many miles.
It towed like a dream, though..
With my Javelin on board, or even the SX4, I'm sitting at about 5,000 pounds all in.
Can't imagine this car being too much over 3300 pounds alone.
Maybe someone has specs on that car and can tell me?
All I know is - it towed and handled fine.
At the destination, I had to pull off the road south into an empty field, and then back north across the road up a steep gravel incline to get it up to the door of the shop it was being left at. Should have gotten a pic of that - the JT pushed it up that incline fine.
Depending on options they are pushing 3900.
A fairly loaded t-top with the 400 is 3880.

Last October I went from Galion Ohio to Newark Delaware to buy a 2022 Gladiator rubicon diesel because of the stop sale order. Found it at a Ford dealer so they could sell.it to me. Only had 5k miles and $4500+ in extras. Drove my 2013 VW Passat tdi over and towed it back on a tow dolly with the Gladiator. Averaged 19.9 mpg in the Gladiator up through the mountains of Pennsylvania and back across I80 to Ohio. Almost 7 hours each way. Never knew the Passat was back there.

I'm taking it all in and will eventually decide - maybe - that's one of my issues - ADHD, decisions are literally almost impossible. Give me 3 choices and I freak out, 2 is bad enough.
Honestly shocked this forum has put up with me all this time.
Here's another option for you: install a 12V battery on the trailer to power the winch - then all you'd need for wiring is what a typical travel trailer uses for a 12V feed from the tow vehicle to recharge that battery...

Had thought of that but hate buying a battery that would sit most of the time, maybe not even be needed for a year or so. I just don't need it often enough to justify a battery sitting around.

Love the Trans Am. Had a 68 firebird convertible with numbers matching 400 that I sold to get into off roading. Miss the bird but love my JT

What about trying a jump starter?

These are quite handy and useful for other things, too.

Had wondered about that. Would take a hefty one to keep it powered for the slow slow roll up the trailer. Or would it? If such a thing could supply say 50 amps for 30 seconds off and on......
Still thinking on it - wire to the back of the truck with a connector, or long cables to reach the battery in the front or something like a jump pack....

I like those trailers but mine has a cowling on the front to protect the car..

Almost opted for that option, at this point, I just clean all the bugs off the front of the car and with the Eagle, that means off the skid plate and suspension, too!
But rock chips and such has had me wondering.
I have no idea any more what their option for that costs and wondered if it might actually help mpg towing? Doesn't matter a lot, really, just curious.

I don’t have enough experience towing without the fairing to notice the difference. Plus the fact that I tow with my F-350 diesel so it’s not as noticeable…

Not sure if my calculation is correct.

But if you take for example a jump starter with 24000 mAh capacity, that would be at 12 V equivalent to 288 Wh. I assume your winch has about 1000W.
Means that you should be able to run it for 0,288 hours.

Could you just yank a battery from your Javelin or your wife’s Jeep when you need it?

She'd kill me! Plus not sure of the idea of leaving a 4xe sitting without the 12v battery in there...... if you wake the system, it's going to go a bit nuts.

Javelin involves a bit of work to wiggle the battery out. Doable if you have planned and take it with you. You have to remove a brace.

I do sort of like the "jump pack" idea if it could maintain that sort of a load over enough time.

Or - just make long cables or wire the Jeep with a connector.
