Just to add more speculation and misinformation to the mix...

Jeep Gladiator Complaining aside, what would be a dealbreaker? full

Above from Automobile Magazine September 2018 issue.

In addition to the wrong bed and highly optimistic price, they mentioned the 4 cylinder turbo engine as an option. :surprised:

I just got a ‘18 JLUR so unless the price is really great I don’t see me getting one. Although when I mentioned it to my wife yesterday she just looked at me and said - “do you think you can keep the Rubicon for that long...” LOL.

Things that would make me think twice - Not expanding the 22.5 gallon gas tank to 28-30 gallons. Less than a 5”6” bed, narrower than a 4’ bed, No lockers - AKA no Rubicon model and if the price for a fully loaded version hits in the $65K range - unless they put a Hemi in it.

I had a Chevy Avalanche before the Jeep and putting an Avalanche fold down mid-gate in the bed would be a huge game changer. The Avalanche never got the recognition it should have received for that feature - it was incredible - you could change your 5’6” bed into an 8” bed. Great for hauling big “clean” stuff - like 8 ft. 2X4’s inside the truck and away from the elements. I can only wish...

I think your base price on this thing is going to be in the 38 - 42K range with the V6 and auto. Don't think there will be any to be had at that price level at time of launch though.

Always thought the Avalanche was an interesting truck. I don’t think the JT will have a bed of 5’6”. I’m guessing 5’ similar to Tacoma 4 door size. Even the Avalanche was just short of 5’6”

Just like the title, what's the thing that would sadly make the JT a no-go for you when it's announced?

I keep thinking of the things I want and have convinced myself that I'll be going JT no matter what next year, but realistically... if this is a 50k+ truck I'll give it second thoughts. I'm also on the fence about how much room I'm willing lose in the back seat and how easily I can turn the bed into an overlanding platform.

What'll they have to screw up to make you go somewhere else? (Again, not looking for complaints about timeline or diesel availability.)
$75k.

Deal Breaker ? Well, for a "penny-pincher" such as I, . . . the ever increasing costs, the new and unique ways FCA comes up with to "nickel & dime" its Faithful - it just amazes me ! NO, it ANGERS me is more the what it does to me every time I go to build & price a JLU or a RAM DT I just get Disgusted at how they try and Manipulate the Faithful (us) with Options packages that make little sense or how I can't have LED lighting UNLESS I get the Hemi or I can't shit without pissing at the same time . . . know what I mean ? FRUSTRATION . . . to the point of "almost" saying, "Screw you FCA!".
So I guess the "Deal Breaker" for me would be - all the above (Factor Cost Adjusting, or "FCA"). :(  . . . we shall see !

No diesel manual option.... That’s my dealbreaker! a diesel manual in a Jeep, is Jeep braking the mold.
