The Mojave's entire suspension would need changed for the weight and weight distribution. Not going to happen on that trim just like the diesel engine never happened on it.

Mojave, being the best trim ;) , I doubt ever gets serious changes. The X is about it...steel bumpers...and that only required a simple spring change.
Yea, i'm guessing no 4xe for the Mojave as well. Desert rated is supposed to have some element of heat tolerance which is my speculation as to why the trim never got the diesel, and reinforcing the frame for the extra battery weight to allow a Mojave to do Mojave things sounds expensive.

We all know less than a bip of owners are actually jumping these things, but you can't advertise it if the truck can't actually do it, regardless if the average owner intends to try it or not.

I bet they’ll start on just the Rubi, Mojave, and Overland trims again
They killed the overland trim for MY24 (and second half of MY23 to my knowledge). I'm not saying i can't see them bringing it back for MY25 as a 4xe only trim, but i wouldn't count on it.

No doubt it will be way overpriced as all of the 4xe's are and as others mentioned the motor probably won't be sufficient for the larger vehicle they are putting it in.
That said I just got back from a 3 day offroad trip with a buddy who has a JLU 4xe on 35's. He went everywhere and more with that, only used half the gas I did for the trip and had an easier go of several areas that were slightly challenging for my JTM. I was impressed honestly. I just don't see it working in a JT unless they boost the power.

Curious to see what the specifications will be. If they make a buss bar off of the lithium battery pack or in some way make it 'accessible' for people to essentially tap into (kinda like how you just attach lights to your starting battery, not actually messing with the system), it has huge potential for overlanders. With such a large battery pack, even if only 50% of it could be used when camping, that would be huge - so long as the payload doesnt' totally tank. The Gladiator is already hampered by an additional 500 pounds curb weight for the bed and extended frame. Hopefully that full floating rear axle will increase payload a few hundred pounds at least - although the GVW is already pretty close to that class of vehicle so who knows if it can legally go up anyway. They could (and should) use high strength aluminum for the bed instead of steel, and for the hood and side panels as well, that would definitely help. Man depending on these specifications, I would actually consider trading for one - it allllllll relies on those specs being just right.

How about a Hemi instead? Imagine if they poled actual Gladiator owners on what we want in a powertrain?
No way, that's a terrible idea. Have you seen the horrible fuel range Sean from TSTN has? I already routinely use my 17 gal aux tank just for runs to town. The 3.6 is just fine, even maxed out on weight I get up to 80 on the highway in no time and it still has more than ample power for passing other slow movers. A hemi will destroy fuel mileage. Even Brad complained significantly multiple times about the poor fuel mileage of his 392. Especially with how gas prices are now.

A hemi is a great idea, just not a 392. I would have jumped on a 5.7 with 375/375 and it probably still gets the same mpg as the v6

I am not overly worried about MPG. I wouldn't have bought a brick on wheels if mileage was a concern. I agree the 3.6 is adequate for driving, but I would like more power for towing. In a perfect world I would have a proper truck for work and tow....but god damn I love my Galdiator.

I guess we will see the results in towing and payload whether this is a good move. I’d love to see the actual mpg of these 4xe going from point A to point B 300-400 miles later at 70mph…you know the real world mpg and not hypothetical “if you only drive 20 miles per day and can plug it in”. I truly wonder if the 4xe will gain anything on the 3.0 with all that added complexity.

not that technology isnt great but sometimes simplicity is the better more efficient option. I chose the gladiator because it was relatively simple, basic and I could do all the work myself. Opinion: Wranglers and Gladiators are only useful if someone handy can do 90% of the work on them. Some of these hybrid batteries will kill you if you mess up working on them.
