Yeah, I contacted 3w directly a few months ago. They have no plans on making that module again. Smh

i wonder if it was a lack of sales or issues with post-purchase support that made them stop.
This item has been on my backburner list of things to add for months and it seems I waited too long to pull the trigger.
Rolling down the windows without having to start the truck up means one less step to taking my doors off. Being able to roll them back up from the fob removes another step when putting them back on.
As for replacements: I am unwilling to buy no-name electronics from ebay. And while I will qualify that statement to say it is true regardless of country of origin, there are certain origins that make me feel this more strongly than others.

Got my eBay, made in china, version yesterday. Appears to be very similar to the 3w unit. Ran out of time yesterday so I need to finish the trigger wires and power and I’ll be done.

Update: eBay version works flawlessly. Does everything the 3W version does and in the exact same way. Even the wires are the same purple and gray as the 3w version. Add to cart, guys!

4 window auto up/down would be nice but I have no need for all the remote control stuff. Why Jeep didn't make all 4 windows auto up/down in the first place. I keep thinking there must be a reason but I can't think of one. Isn't it just programming, so no additional cost?

Yes.
The window switches, etc. are identical. I have the 3W version in our 4xe. Been there for over a year and works fine.

Do you have a link for your purchase? I contacted a seller, and they told me they have three versions: Gladiator, Rubicon, and Hybrid. I understand that the hybrid should be the correct one, but they replied asking if my Jeep is fully electric.

I installed the 3W unit in our 4xe. 3W said they didn't have one for a hybrid and it wouldn't work.Do you have a link for your purchase? Some digging showed me that the window switches, doors and window motors are the same, as was the wiring. So I installed it.
There is no difference between them as far as the window switch function.
What MAY be different is how they work with a fob, but I'd be rather surprised by that as well because even the 4xe has remote start - it just doesn't run the engine.
All I wanted was the one "touch" window up function as my wife has a handicap and is unable to reach the center window switches with her right arm and even leaning forward taking her eyes off the road, she doesn't have normal finger function like the rest of us do in her right hand. Now she can at least just give the switch a pull and make the window go up and not have to lean forward and hold the stupid thing.
As far as the eBay units - my bet is that 3W had their window devices made at a factory in China that they didn't own - and the people there decided to copy it and start making them for themselves to sell. It happens now and then. It's all speculation on my part, but since my son has a friend who has bought into a Chinese factory and explained how some of that works in greater detail, a guess is that 3W found out and cut ties with the place and dropped the product since they are being sold by Chinese importers for a lot less money.
The guy who invented, designed and had the mill/lathe I have made ended up in a similar situation - the Chinese factory he contracted with to build his machines copied them and suddenly his machines were being sold at a fraction of the price with only a color and name tag change.
