Oil pressure out of range will impact cam advance/retard operation besides being a critical issue if it's TRULY out of range and not just the sensor saying it is - or a wiring issue.

My Jeep just threw the code today after losing power going around a corner. Checked and I have no oil. Oil pressure was normal.

Any oil leaks?
How many quarts did you put back in it?

I can drive over 7,000 miles and still not be down a quart! To think of it not being on the stick......
but then that doesn't mean it's "empty" - just off the stick on these.

Likely that means roughly 2 quarts or so low rather than empty.

I checked the oil after the vehicle it sat and the dipstick was empty. I then added two quarts and warmed the engine up before checking the oil which registered on the dipstick. I'll have the oil change today as I'm at 20%. This will set a precedence for later.

So with the oil life monitor working on 2D curve @ 20% how many miles approximately you think you have on that? Next is where did it go?!

If you had to add 2 quarts you do have a problem.

…and yet the “allowable” amount of consumption (burn)FCA deems “normal” before there’s a problem is 1.5 litres/1000 kms x’s 10k km oil change period = 15 litres consumed (burned) BEFORE FCA acknowledges a problem. At least that is what it is in Canada.

There’s only 4 ways I see an engine not having any oil in it when it was checked is:

1. dealership did the oil change and tech forgot to put the right amount in;
2. Engine is burning it (serious ring/compression problem;
3. Oil is being sent through the PCV back into the intake to be burned (but ALL THAT OIL would have to be kicked up in the crankcase and be made to mix with the air to be passed through the PCV - impossible)
4. External leak.

Did I miss anything?

You added 4 quarts so far. Just change the oil filter and top off the oil and be done. Bell Telephone on their vehicles, used to just change the filter and top off the oil years ago.

The oil change was performed during the dealership visit where I had the rockers, gaskets and valves replaced for the engine tick.
Driving home last night was when the first check engine light came on reading p066dd. No change in oil pressure or temps.

I misspoke when it reads that I added a total of 4 quarts. I didn't add the two quarts until after I'd warmed the engine up.

Tell the dealership they failed to fill it with oil after the repair and the engine is probably toast. They can check the code history to verify. Good luck.
