Last year was early/mid September for the 2024's. Does anyone have any clues/insight as to when they might do the 2025? Not empty speculation, but like "the car show is x-date" etc.. Thanks! Still waiting on bikini " late 2024" booo, and now I might as well check-out the 4xe (with plans to lease for the tax credit then buy-out).

that’s an interesting idea. What do you think the lease payment would be and what would the buyout be?

I would not do a 4XE due to all the added failure points. Not going to be good for the long term IMO.

I'd have to do the math, but it's the only way to get the full $7500 now that they've sold their minimums. I can't imagine it being that much extra to lease, so it's an easy out just in case, and the option to make a little extra. Who knows, they might exhaust it by then, though.

At this point I'm just biding my time until the '25s get announced and it pushes the '24s down further. None of the dealers are responsive in this area and it's getting frustrating.

You don’t want to drive to VA. How about ordering from Koons?

wow. I just searched for them on here and discovered they’re no longer a forum vendor. Huh.

Bring it. Go Jeep. Makers of the only interesting PHEV on the market.

They need the support of all. And should be commended and encouraged.

Removable roof, targa panels, roll cage, removable doors, foldable windshield, solid axles, offroad gearing, lockers and anti roll bar disconnects, throw phev into the mix all in boss goodlooking double cab utility/pickup??? ???

Get behind your guys at Jeep. That vehicle will be amazing and The guys at Jeep are 4x4 gods for making it.

A truly unique package. All the haters - all your doing is hurting the totally unique innovation and courage your Jeep guys have in bringing her to market.

I agree with you, however, it seems that a large number of vehicle buyers don't plan to keep their vehicles outside the warranty period. I sometimes think high repair costs are intentional to encourage people to trade just to keep the revolving door open.

It's amazing how many households are programmed to pay a monthly payment on a vehicle for the majority of their lives. It's now common for households to be paying between $735 - $1,470 per month.

So yes, I wouldn't buy a 4XE because the cost of ownership could be costly to keep for 20+ years, but more and more buyers don't plan to keep their vehicles for more than 4 - 5 years. Compare that to a few decades ago when the vast majority kept vehicles for 10 - 14 years. What changed? Consumerism for sure has changed, but also the cost to keep modern vehicles is very expensive, and that's a cost/hassle that many Americans don't want to go through, especially when they are living paycheck to paycheck.

My friends and I rented a Wrangler 4XE for a couple weeks back in May. Honestly I was not a huge fan. It was gutless when the battery was dead, only had 17 miles of EV range, and because of where we were staying there was nowhere to plug it in so we were stuck with the dead battery.

I will say the one thing I liked was the max regen mode, it was like having little baby Jake brakes. I almost wonder if it'd be worth it to develop a system similar to the regen system on EVs for normal ICE vehicles that charges capacitors and then just uses them to get going again. Less weight but able to capture and reuse some of that braking energy normally lost to heat.

Ordering is actually more expensive than some of the incentives on dealer stock right now. From what I gather, Craig was their forum guy and he's no longer with the company. I had shot him several messages. Eventually someone else reached out and told me that. I emailed him back last week and still nothing.

Far as the 4xe JT goes: I'm all for it. I'm not the target demo and wouldn't be convinced to buy one but if the JLU is any indication, it will be a hit. It also would boost JT sales. That will keep the platform alive because if dealer stock is any indication, these aren't moving. I've been seeing the same 2024 trucks sitting on lots since I got back into the hunt back in May. And some dealers still have 2023's laying around.

I'd also hope it helps drive down the CAFE number to keep some hi-po gas options available. Stellantis is getting destroyed on CAFE fines. A Mojave with the HO Hurricane from the Ram would be insanely fun but won't happen if they're still forking over billions to Uncle Sam annually.

I thought I read or saw the 2025 release has been moved to January.

We need to get rid of CAFE and nullify those fines and the departments that enforce them. Let them get real jobs.

It is entirely a cash grab at this point. $14B came from the domestics alone.

The 2025 is not going to really be different. Same 3.6., same 8 speed trans, much of the 24 interior, frame, suspension, steering will all be the same. I have no reason to traded won't till there is a reason unless it's to something different like a RaptorR or even a GX550. But nothing has the character of my modded Gladiator.
