speaking of stars, I told the wife we gotta try that dark sanctuary in New Mexico called The Cosmic Campground;

Got a few mods for the trailer, but keeping on track with night skies, I gotta get rid of all the blue LEDs on the USB charge ports as well as the green LED for the propane leak detector … there’s prolly others, but all these LEDs are really annoying.

The 23D is a real sweet spot, get that large front lounge area that makes it feel a LOT larger than any of the sub 25 foot Airstreams. Tows easy with the truck and super maneuverable.

I have the ecodiesel, we know these run hot, but the temps shoot from 220/240 (water/oil temp) to 240/260 in no time…

Anyways, My Jeep needs that Bullet Proof Diesel Auxiliary Cooler, but I have a steel bumper, I gotta call them and find out why they say it may not work. I’m planning on getting a tune as well. Lastly, I may throw in some 4.56 gears, with my 35’s it will be geared a little aggressively, but should tow very well.

We made a skid plate/mounting assembly for the BPD Aux. Cooler…. Adding that little cooler saved the truck as far as being a tow vehicle is concerned.

Moving to 4.56 gears also made a very noticeable improvement..

We’ll be towing from Los Angeles with a full load of cargo to the ACI International Rally in MO this October…. Will be interesting to see how far we can push the cooling before it starts cutting fuel again.

Just a few from the Colorado mountains, July 4th weekend 2023. The series on Grand Mesa was an awesome little spot I found, where 3 big mule deer really wanted to be in my space Led Zeppelin on the boombox had no effect. I have videos of them running through my campsite while Dazed and Confused is playing in the background
