What’s work?
Surge protectors. Whole house protector at the circuit breaker panel, if possible, plus one at each appliance. Include the garage door opener, stereos, TVs, washer, dryer, fridge, computers, alarm system, phone system, oven, etc. Anything with electronics in it. Around $10 each for the single-outlet plug in variety, or use power strips. For the fridge you may need a protector with a flush outlet plug, due to clearance to the wall. Plus cable and telecom/broadband as well.
I’d be worried those surge protectors are as reliable as the washing machines…..

I can’t even begin to start about how many refrigerators or washers I have replaced in the last 7 years. I recently went backwards ( as some would consider) in the purchase of a washing machine. I bought a speed queen washer as basic as they come for 1.5 times the cost of any washer on the market this day and age solely because they claim it was made in the USA…….? We will see about the longevity of this piece! Lol !šŸ˜‚ I guess time will tell šŸ™„
I hope my tires last as long as my generic SqueedQueen washer and dryer! They are built like tanks, no buttons to fail, super large loads and they just keep going. Plus the sound of turning the wash selector sends me back to my childhood. Now I must go spit firewood, chew tobacco, and slam a shot of Jack to find my manhood!

I did the same thing, the Speed Queen has been flawless (unless pillow fluff gets ingested by the pump) - but it's also serviceable. To fix that pump full of pillow stuffing, the front panel popped off, the pump came out, was disassembled, cleaned, put back together and reinstalled in about 25 minutes at home without calling a repairman. The washer has been fine ever since.

Buy once, cry once.

General Tire is owned by Continental AG. So maybe direct questions directly to them.

My thoughts, they're coming out with something new, changing the tooling, so whatever is in the market is all there is.

I hope they keep the red letters. They look awesome! Whenever I pull into a gas station with my JL, someone compliments them. Mostly kids, but hey, they know what looks cool! lol.

LOVE my Generals - they are great in snow and our ice and crap. Don't even need 4 wheel drive much of the time.

My neighbor bought General tires for his Alante and they didn't require squat for weights to balance them.

I just bought a Nighthawk Edition Gladiator and it has General Grabber A/T. I like the look of the tire and they are quiet.

I ran the X3 on my 20 sport s and had over 40K with plenty of life left and was going to put them on my wife’s 24 XR when the BFG wore out but I guess not now, hopefully they bring them back. If not I’ll put Pats on it like I did the Mojave

Talked to General tire through emails today. They have discontinued the ATX in a few sizes (not the whole line up). They removed many of the LT tires that come in a 17" rim. 37x12.50R17 was one size that got cut.

I really like my General Grabber At2 and the previous set of Grabber X3's. I current run the AT2 in 35x12.50R 17 and approaching 50K miles. Still probably have another 10K to go before they are shot. I love these tires. Quite, good traction and wear.

However shopping labor day sales for shits and giggles, they have been discontinued and you can't get them anymore in 35 or 37's.

Anybody know what happened?
Still shows available next day on local Mavis website and the general tire website.
