I wonder if Samsung working towards purchasing Continental AG has something to do with it.

I really like my General Grabber At2 and the previous set of Grabber X3's. I current run the AT2 in 35x12.50R 17 and approaching 50K miles. Still probably have another 10K to go before they are shot. I love these tires. Quite, good traction and wear.

However shopping labor day sales for shits and giggles, they have been discontinued and you can't get them anymore in 35 or 37's.

Anybody know what happened?
I loved my AT2's also. Now would have to buy the Grabber ATX. And I will soon.

I run the General Grabber X3 on my Jeep CJ. They have been excellent, tough tires that spend the majority of their life at 12 pounds of air. I hope they don't discontinue them, as the options for skinny 15' wheels is down to about 6 tires choices.

Talked to General tire through emails today. They have discontinued the ATX in a few sizes (not the whole line up). They removed many of the LT tires that come in a 17" rim. 37x12.50R17 was one size that got cut.
That’s kind of disappointing. I have 32,000 miles on my 37’s and they are wearing awesome, grip amazing and still have plenty of life. Guess I’ll be getting Mickey Thompson’s after all when the time comes… now I’m a little paranoid about slicing one up on the trail and needing 4 tires.

I did not like the X3's on my fullsize ram only because they suck in Michigan slushly / snow covered intersections. Can't blame the tire though. Its not made for that. It was my poor choice of them to perform something they were not meant to do. Slipped and slide around every stoplight intersection during winter.

Offroad trail snow, great. Dirt and dry pavement. Great. Mud, even better.

Still shows available next day on local Mavis website and the general tire website.

I updated this thread to show the 37's are no longer available in 17 rim for the AT/X. 35's in 17' rim are still available.

Just a quick update on this size: To clarify, the 37x12.50R17 Grabber A/Tx was phased out due to changes in the lineup. However, due to overwhelming demand, this size will be returning in the spring of 2025.

Great news! I was a bit upset to hear they were cut in the 37 size. I had a set on my JK and really wanted a set on my JT once I get it lifted.

Good to hear this, in the past I bought a set of General MT 33x12.5r15s the next trip to Tellico I had damage to 2 of tires to then find out that tread design was discontinued when I went to replace the 2 tires.
For few stretch I had that happen with a few brands of tires. That left me with 3 sets of 3 tires. That soured me on more than one tire company somewhat.
Back on topic, I will probably be looking for new tires around that time frame, possibly in 35-37 size. Well likely. :like:
