It's just a sales tactic. They don't need your used JT. They can't even sell the 2023's that have been on their lots for over a year. :)

Oldest trick in the book lol.

WE NEED YOUR TRADE!!!

Because then they get two sales.

They don't employ dozens of people on acres of prime commercial real estate because they lose on these deals. Same as Vegas isn't lit up like the 4th of July every day off people winning.

Sorry, no one's gladiator is special. Mine has all the usual mods as well, and it's 100% replaceable. I wouldn't even be sad really. All dealers, especially Stellantis dealers, want is a sale.

I understand about the Rubicon and the LE, its all about making the sale, But I bought the Rubicon for a reason, I just happened on the LE,

This is my actual 1st brand new car purchase, and I don't trade up often, so I got what I got, and I'm good,

Hell I still have the 68 Camaro I got in 87'

My gladiator is special. It's only one of ~345,000 built so far :CWL:.

Actually, it's slightly unique, but not necessarily desirable. High Altitude was only offered 3 model years, and my color was only offered on 1 out of those 3 years. Basically a loaded Overland with wide axles and colored bumpers and mirrors.

If the dealer calls you about the Camaro, then they DO want your car. :)

I had a dealer call and try to buy my old JK some years back, I told them “sure, $75k and I will have it to you this afternoon” (it was a sport, think I paid bout $36k for it.

They told me that theres no way they could make an offer on the phone for a vehicle they haven’t seen. I came back with “well you called me wanting to buy a vehicle that wasn’t posted for sale…”. I politely and very respectfully instructed them to lose my number, unless they got serious about wanting to buy my Jeep.

recently discussed my 21 sport S with a GMC dealer and the trade offer was low, $25K on a snazzberry with 48K. They stated that this model is brining $28K on the lot so not much room. There is a lot of inventory available. What will Stellantis do with all of the '24s around?

If your dealership is tied to one larger dealership parent companies like Autonation, Lithia and the like, they really have been pivoting more towards used and not wanting to taking in any new build stock from Stellantis due to the current new glut of stock on their lots not moving and wanting to get that moved in the deal. This use to be a bullshit sales tactic in years past but not so much of late with the current state of Stellantis.
Especially when they say if not interested in a trade, they'll by my used Jeep outright...........
Around here, and your results will vary, there's not a lot in used Gladiators around here.
