I can't get any warranty work out of my local dealer. I also had to quit using them for the free oil changes because of the mess they make.

I have essentially given up on our local dealer as well. Lots of RAM and now Jeep related BS from them. Happily paying for my oil changes and service from our local 4x4 shop. Thinking of cashing in the extended warranty.

Good luck with that. Once they have your money they make you do back flips through rings of fire to get it from them.

If they’d knock em back down to $900 or whatever I’d jump all over it. At 1500-2000? Nope.

Mine started as a mopar lift and then i upgraded to all clayton udjustable arms, jks trackbar, tereflex 1 inch spacer, rpm steering and fox steering stabilizer. The only thing left mopar is the springs, i didnt want to change the springs because i was afraid it wouldnt fit in the garage .

At just under 1600 for the lift kit, including 4 Bilstein reservoir shocks, it’s not clear to me why it’s such a terrible option. When I look at the alternatives, I find a higher starting price without shocks.

Once I add shocks, the alternatives are much more expensive.

I’d argue for maintaining warranty, but based on the posts above, that’s an illusion. But I think Mopar is looking for any excuse to deny warranty claims.

Many people are still seeing the about $2k price tag or they haven't looked lately. It seems the prices have dropped back down and they're now selling the Mopar lift for about $1,600 again.

I bought a Clayton 2.5" Ride Right for about $1,300 and added Bilstein 5100 shocks for another $400. $1,700 total so about the same as the Mopar lift. I got adjustable track bars front and rear and adjustable arms, but I also got cheaper shocks. I thought it was worth the trade off for the cheaper shocks to get the adjustable suspension links.

I'll take a look at Clayton... they seem to have a lot of happy customers.

Warranty fears would be my best guess. Also some people prefer to work with dealers which likely limits them to what Mopar offers.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if good shops are hard to find some places, so the dealer may be the only option for some people.
Warranties ..IMHO ... again in my humble opinion scare tactics to keep you from changing or modifying . I ran out of mine very quickly well before the 3yr. Mark I was already past the 60,000 ,I wanted to change stuff on mine within year number 1 and finaces kept me from it but my 2.5 I was free of their charms and finances cleared up and just did what I wanted now J am running a 2.5 with 35 and a bunch of other suspension upgrades ( Falcon shocks, track bars control arms ) . Winch bumper with a winch etc..I think it is fear.
Some I think never intend on putting 60,000 on the Jeep before getting rid of it. Me I will own this thing till it is simply impossible to get parts..I already have 110,000+ . Fear all Fear

I knew about 1 month into ownership that I was likely keeping this thing for 10+ years, so I was barely worried about warranty as well. I left power train related stuff alone but everything else was open season haha. I just wanted to enjoy the thing and not worry so much.

I’m at 57k miles now. The damn rear axle seal on the passenger side blew out again but will be covered by warranty. Other than that issue that seems to be reoccurring every 30k miles, I have had no driveline issues. Maybe by the next time it breaks, I’ll be in the right place financially for 1 tons 🤣

There are just better kits out there in that price range. Drop brackets will ride better than the Mopar slightly longer LCAs. The fox 2.5s are much better than the bilstein as far as ride. Adjustable front track bar, Rear track bar bracket, and Sway bar quick disconnects that the Mopar kit doesn't even address. These are the parts a complete lift kit should have. If JKS had released their mojave kit with shock extensions before I put the AEV kit on I could have saved myself several steps and a few dollars. Since installing the AEV 2" spacer kit I've added control arm drop brackets, sway bar disconnects, and I just ordered new springs as the front is into the bump stops too often after 24k miles.

Yeah exactly. IMO that's a way better and more complete kit for roughly the same money.

And they will actually warranty it for 5 years or 100k miles. As in if you have a problem they send you new parts not give you the run around and tell you they aren't stock parts. Why anyone would install aftermarket parts that force you to deal with the dealer if there's an issue is beyond me. I'd pay extra to not have to do that.

Warranty never crossed my mind, went jks the first round, springs, and adjustable front lca's. Just updating now with 4.5" rear rock crawler springs, and another set of jks 3.5's up front with their acos system to fine tune the ride height. Jks adjustable arms top and bottom front and rear now. I'm more ticked I ate 3k and a Saturday dropping my manual trans to fix mopars bs clutch setup. There's a plethora of better lift kit options than the mopar garbage. It's just easy and people bite on it.
