Yea I did. The associate said they were snatched up right away and said there was a wire rope available. I wasn’t interested in that. I was getting the winch because it was a deal. I haven’t needed one and was just getting it for that rare occasion. There will be other deals.

she also said other stores might have them available. But I had already driven 1h to that store and the closest store was another 1h drive.

Just picked mine up in CA, last one they had.

Considering I only spent $360 on this, is there a consensus on the cheapest winch plate for the OEM Rubi steel bumper that isn’t a POS and won’t require significant mods/fab?

Yea I did. The associate said they were snatched up right away and said there was a wire rope available. I wasn’t interested in that. I was getting the winch because it was a deal. I haven’t needed one and was just getting it for that rare occasion. There will be other deals.

Funny I had the same experience, I showed up at 7:55 store opened at 8:00. One person in front of me and guess what he got a 1200 Apex synthetic line winch. I asked the clerk for the same thing and I was told that was all they had. Called the closest store and they said they had 4 and would hold me one. Drove 45 minutes away and it was a wire line winch. They called the store that I just came from and they now found 4 on the front of the store. I get back there and all are gone except for 1 that they are holding for another person. I then drove and hour to another store and got the last one. Guy in front of me had bought four and said he was going to resale them . What a day!!

Agree, I think there inventory showed several of them but the employees had reserved them quietly for friends that knew about the sale. The last employee did that for me after I made my case politely.

I was able to get one at about 11:30AM this morning. They still had a wire apex 12000 and a synthetic line apex 12000 after my sale and a woman in front of me who bought a wire one.

I had one of these on my JLUR, which I liked and it worked every time I wanted it to. I sold it with the Jeep so I got one today for my JTRX.

Pricewise this one was the cheaper of the two.

HF website says still in stock at my HF store in Jacksonville.

The point isn't to sell a bunch of winches, it's to get you in the store.
