Badland Apex 12,000 lb. Winch installed

I know there are a lot of write-ups for the Badlands Apex winch install but I thought I should add mine in case it provides someone some additional info.
The basics:

• 2024 Gladiator Rubicon X
• Stock steel bumper (Winch ready)
• Grimm Offroad Steel Bumper Winch Plate, GOR10067 (At Northridge 4X4)
• Badland Apex 12,000 lbs winch with synthetic rope

Plate install was very straight forward, no issues. The winch went in without any need for spacers (other than the two provided bumper spacers that come with the kit) or trimming the clutch handle.

I did not relocate the control box, nor did I re-route the wires to the side. I am happy with the fit. I used the provided disconnect switch which I mounted under the hood (Used zip ties in two of the holes of the housing, didn't want to try to create a bracket or do any drilling).

Hey peoples, other than synthetic rope and wireless remote, is the apex worth the price difference than the svr?

The wireless helps seal the deal for me personally. The plastic coated wire, isn't user friendly in extreme temperatures, especially cold, where it feels like it'll crack and break. With hot weather, it feels like it's just going to melt off. It's there for backup purposes only. Wireless helps where you can get out, away from any danger areas, and can keep a better eye on what you're doing during a pull. The synthetic rope, helps minimize sprung weight. Both versions are built well, so just go with your needs and wallet.

Ok, thanks, I could get replacement rope and wireless, however that puts the price after the sale next Thursday to be pretty similar. I hope I never need it but I also don't want to be the noob that has no means of self rescue.

Does the winch not comes with a plate? I was under the impression the plate was included and actually fit the Gladiator?

Was at the front doors 10 minutes before they opened. They opened 5 minutes early, went from 3 synthetic in stock to 1 by 8:00. I got one of them.

Was able to pick one up as well. Still had a couple more. They actually had the items in the wrong spot at first and almost went home with the wire version.

The plate it comes with is the solenoid relocation plate, not a winch mounting plate.

I had an "amazing" time installing that dang thing. Loosened up the airbox and almost considered ripping it out. Hopefully your install went smoother.
