Nobody in their right mind would want a Nissan!
The Frontier is pretty nice, but I would never buy a Nissan. They are like the Temu of the car industry. My wife's cousin works for Shiroki, a supplier of OEM Nissan parts to their factories, and he said that they nickel and dime the suppliers to death and are the only manufacturer that regularly fails to pay invoices. No honor with that company at all.

You haven't been shopping either of those if you think the gladiator is even in the same ballpark on price. I was ready to buy an Ineos, but went with the gladiator because it was half the price.
The Grenadier seems priced appropriately to me. ;)

We own both a JTM and a Grenadier, we didn't get bent over on the Grenadier, paid 78.5k with plenty of options, while its not 200% more expensive than the 49k I paid for my JTM with every option, its also not the 180k entry fee of the G Class.

As far as the discount G's, used with 30k, nah. Even at that discount you'd need a back up daily, maintenance is a pain, takes time for parts, in our area Mercedes dealers are few and wait times are long. Cost to maintain isn't even worth the conversation to me. To each their own, but there have been 3 G Wagens in the parking lot at my work in the last few years and they're all gone now, no one seems to keep them long. Those fancy folk seem happier in Porsches or Beemers at that price.

And, the extra 30k we spent on the Grenadier shows in many ways. FWIW local dealers are trying to unload the 2025 4R Offroads for 70k. 🤔 The market is just a circus now days.

Can't live in fear!
Ironically that is how I ended up with the Gladiator. Years of wanting a Jeep but never pulling the trigger cause I was a Toyota guy, convinced of their mechanical superiority and dependability. Had enough Toyota issues and just said to hell with it. I've loved every day in the Gladiator.

Best car I ever had out of about 14 cars was a Nissan murano and don’t forget they just merged with Honda
