Uconnect5 Update (FCA-MY24.U33.43-PROD) rolling out

This applies to 2024 and possibly 2025 model years with the large Uconnect 5 screen.

Yesterday my 2024 Gladiator Rubicon-X received the latest Uconnect5 update, version FCA-MY24.U33.43-PROD . This update has been rolled out to many 2024+ Wranglers, and now it looks like they are targeting the Gladiators. Of course, after the update the screen was kind of wonky looking, so I immediately performed a radio reset (push and hold the volume knob until the screen goes black after about 10-15 seconds or so).

It came back and everything looked and functioned normally, except for two things. I have a Rubicon-X model, which came with the two year trial versions of the Off Road Adventure Guide and Off Road GPS. These two apps are part of a two year trial version of a package called Off Road Plus, not to be confused with the button near the sway bar button.

This happened to me once before and after two weeks and a Uconnect ticket, the apps finally re-appeared. So some questions to the 2024+ gang on the forum:
1. Has anyone else received the FCA-MY24.U33.43-PROD Over The Air (OTA) update for their Gladiator?
2. If so, and if you had the Off Road Plus trial apps, did you lose them after the OTA update?
3. If you lost them, did they come back on their own after a few days?

You can find out your current Uconnect 5 version under Settings, then scroll all the way down to system, then select Version Information.

But I don't have NAV or anything so I don't know if I would be missing anything even if I was, Still Odd that you can Add NAV on 23'JT but not 24'JT .....

Need to update the firmware is the bane of my existence as a solar technician totally not surprised. I have a brand new ’24 Mojave, and I think I’ll just wait a while before upgrading anything in the computer

Android Auto works just fine in the 21 all except if ypu don't use it and go back to the norm it will erase your phone favorites. It's annoying so don't use it .

I did that update a while back and it took some time to straighten it out. When I had my dealer oil change they did the TSB

I used to have both an android phone and an iPhone in my pockets. I found that the easiest way to fix the random android issues was to ditch the android phone. Now I have two iPhones and fewer problems

I have a 24 rubicon x and updated a week or so ago. I lost the Off Road Adventure Guide app too. I can still access the Off Road GPS via the nav however.

You would think that after all these decades, Jeep would put something besides a Commodore 10 computer operating system in Jeeps that cost $60K plus! Why so many problems with updating the darn system and making things work right all the time? The iPhone updates seamlessly. If we are rapidly going to a car world that depends soley on electric operating systems, maybe Jeep should invest in some technology that actually works right all the time. Maybe the DOGE geeks should visit them.
