Because my wife loves their fried chicken, she calls it "Chicken Ranch" - I asked - uh, do you remember that movie with Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton from the 1980s??
I think the "place" was referred to as "the chicken ranch" if I recall correctly.
Great movie!!!

And I've been to La Grange...
On business...
Yeah, business...

...I have Remote Start!

OK, OK...so I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. I purchased my JT Sport on 8/23/23, downloaded the window sticker plus the build sheet, and read through them being focused on whether or not it had the tow package, what gear ratio it was built with, did it have Android Auto, etc...

So, after all this time I re-visited the documents over the weekend and saw it was equipped with that feature. I pressed that little button twice and heard it start up.

Well, what do ya know....
Might want to keep looking,, cause I think that could only be had as part of a package. Forget what else came with it. I have the 23 brochure on PDF.

Congrats on a cool find!

It's cold at our home in WI sometimes. I'll double tap the JT remote and then start the Keurig. Throw on my boots and put the dogs out for a potty. About 5-7 minutes or so later the JT is ready to roll and warm(er) inside. Coffee is ready, dogs have pooped and peed and are back inside, the jeep is warm and I haven't left the house and trampled thru snow yet.

Love the remote start feature. Even tho I like old school 90% of the time. IMO remote start is a keeper and a must have option on new-fangled vehicles in snow country.

I work for no man.
I use my remote start all the time. It came in one of the packages I ordered on my JT.

Yup. That's exactly what I'm saying. Multiple times that I know of. And ironically, usually in the middle of the night. Possibly because it's on my dresser at night, and that's closer to the garage than my office/studio. So.....dunno. Bottom line, I'd love to disable remote start from my vehicle if anyone knows a simple method.
Perhaps, start keeping that key fob in a faraday box

I misread that as TJ rather than JT. I thought; waaaaaait a minute.
Although my dad did have a remote start for his 1973 Duce and a Quarter...
It was me.

I haven't had remote start all winter. LF tpms stopped working last summer, and won't get replaced till the tire does
Remote start quit working because of a bad tire sensor? 🤔
That seems odd.

Mine came with the key fob remote start and the iphone app remote start. The iphone app was amazing for the winter when you are not in proximity of the vehicle. But that feature was only free for a year and then they wanted close to 300 per year to activate it. Back to the fob, LOL.

Bet it's not the sensor......
They both use the same antenna and receiver in some years. There's a TSB about it.

When I bought my F150 in 2019 they asked if I wanted to add the remote start and I said no. Didn't want to add the cost of it and I found I didn't use it that often even though I live in canada with the cold and snow. ford had an app for their vehicles that you got for free at the time as a trial then decided they weren't going to charge for its use. The app came with remote unlock and start so even if you didn't have remote start on your key fob, you had it through the Ford App (which could start or lock/unlock your vehicle from anywhere and even schedule when you want it to start)

Wait until you learn that they put a 5th wheel and tire under the bed of the truck! Mind blown!!
Mine came with a noisy passenger seat. What’s strange is I am the only one that seems to notice. When I complained about it to my wife she smacked me.
