I’m trying to find a power adapter that plugs into our trailer multi pin that I can just plug a normal extension cord into. I’ve spent some time looking for this but haven’t found anything. Anyone know of such adapter?

You mean to plug a 115v cord into?
NEMA 1 (2 prong 125 volt) or NEMA 5-15P - 2 prong with ground prong?

Likely you will not find one. I suspect there's a reason - such as safety of the person and device being connected.
That's not something more than 1 person would likely want.

You can buy the end to plug into the trailer receptacle and make your own.

It’s still 12v but a two or three prong cord can plug into it to power camp site lights etc. Solar power to keep vehicle duel batteries charged.

Been looking at the space in the bed to wire in a plug at the back but then thought, why go through all that work when we have a trailer plug right at the back that can be used.

I've never seen any 12v accessories of any type that have a NEMA 1 or 5-15 plug end on the cord!

You can make your own.......... i have an adapter that converts the trailer plug outlet to a 12v outlet so I can plug in ordinary 12v stuff that have plugs for lighters.
(it's how I run my BatteryMinder on the truck)

So you have 12 volt accessories and solar charger that has 125 NEMA plugs on them?

This is what I want to build.

The solar system I have connects up with Anderson plugs.

This 12v plug ability at the trailer plug would allow me to run my hot water on demand 12v pump, water filtration UV light to flat 50L IRONMAN tank and run some LED camp lights.

Can you explain what you are trying to do more clearly. 120ac doesn't play well with 12v d.c system. 🤔

That could help others with a option.

Maybe it doesn’t work. I haven’t looked much further than finding a ‘plug n play’ at the trailer plug to power 12v items.

So something along this line.
Jeep Gladiator Trailer plug adapter for extension cord 17439655626963085846188312684680

Or actually this one.

That one is is actually so I can use a receiver mount winch. I don't know if the wiring would be up to the task of running power from a solar system to the batteries on late model vehicles. Much of the wiring is fine as frog fur now. 🤔 FYI the small Anderson connector is to plug in my air compressor. :like:. But I've got multiple ones to hook up different sub systems in my Jeep. I had a RV trailer plug with a SAE pigtail to the hot and ground wires for my XJ to use it for a few 12v lights and stuff.

AC plug on a DC system does not compute. It can be DIY, but why?

Please, need more information of exactly what you are trying to do.

Does it compute if a converter is hooked up to power 12v items?
You can't plug an inverter into the 12v system with a NEMA plug - inverters must run from 12 volts and supply ~115 volts.
You don't need a NEMA, you need a simple adapter - trailer plug to 12v outlet
Jeep Gladiator Trailer plug adapter for extension cord 1743969215627-a9

And then this would be on the 12v side of the inverter - to plug into the above -

You really need to post a picture of what the heck you are trying to plug into the Jeep's trailer wiring!
You can plug in an inverter, but no inverter in the world has a NEMA connector on the supply side - someone would plug it into 110v and BLOW It UP!

Or actually this one.

That's what I'm planning on doing so I can power a small winch on my car trailer. It would not pull a lot. 2500 pound ATV winch from HF.

So, you want to use a cheap Home Depot AC extension cord to save money vs a DC cable?

The output on a converter will be 12V DC and wired as such. Input will be 115v AC.

The output on an inverter will be 115v AC and wired as such. Input will be 12v DC.
