HAHA, just buy a JLU. LMAOThats a lot of wasted money to make the bed even smaller than it currently is. That will never sell for close to what they have into it.
This is the way. EV for daily, Jeep for fun for my family.i miss my gladiator everyday and i still own it. The monthly petrol bill is almost as much as my loan payment though. LOL so, my wife drives it 2 miles a day and i drive the hybrid 70 miles a day to and from work. At least my mountain bike fits in the Hyundai.
can't have solar, got a hybrid. I will say when i drive the jeep the round trip to and from work i can get about 16mpg, my wife get about 12 driving 2 miles a day. This is the way. EV for daily, Jeep for fun for my family.
Costs nothing to charge, solar already paid for itself.

I know how you feel. We just had our 12-month oil change done. The Gladiator had 2,899 miles on it. I don't anticipate that we'll put more than 3,000 miles on this year, either.i miss my gladiator everyday and i still own it.
So you love the diesel because the extra weight helps hold down the garage floor? I'll put that many miles on the Jeep in one road trip... multiple times a year. I'm pretty sure both Jeeps see more dirt miles than that per year. People act like if the Jeep isn't their daily it's normal to get no miles. I didn't buy the Jeep for commuting. I have a company car for that. I bought it for wheeling, especially freeway plus speeds in the desert which is why is a Mojave. Sits on the driveway 5 days a week and is still pushing 29k miles in under 2 years.I know how you feel. We just had our 12-month oil change done. The Gladiator had 2,899 miles on it. Yeah, we were hoping to buy a Gladiator EcoDiesel in 2027/2028. Jeep pushed up our timeline when they discontinued the EcoDiesel. If I had to guess, 2,500 - 3,000 miles per year will probably be the norm for the next 3 years. So you love the diesel because the extra weight helps hold down the garage floor? A lot of the mojave miles are from trips to our AZ property, but it's 590 miles one way and 60 miles from town. We've been working on building our cabin out there since Thanksgiving so every 4-6 day weekend we take is 1200 miles plus hundreds more for home depot trips etc. I took the company f150 out there once and I'll never do that again. 15 miles of washboard dirt roads in that POS had me feeling like I had a traumatic brain injury. As far as towing, the ram was definitely better but the mojave did just fine pulling the 8400lb trailer 600 miles out there to frame the cabin.Yeah, we were hoping to buy a Gladiator EcoDiesel in 2027/2028. Our daily driver is a 2015 Ram EcoDiesel (My wife and I carpool). We've got a 2020 Ram EcoDiesel that we use as a designated tow rig. We did over 8,000 miles of towing last year pulling the camper. We mostly use the Jeep for traveling to our mountain property, especially in inclement weather.
That 2mile trip is very hard on a motor.can't have solar, got a hybrid. I will say when i drive the jeep the round trip to and from work i can get about 16mpg, my wife get about 12 driving 2 miles a day.
thats the case for a 4xEThat 2mile trip is very hard on a motor.
I totally agree. The fluids are not getting up to proper temperature. In fact, according to a mechanic at a dealership, he told me my check engine light was periodically coming on because the computer "thought" that the thermostat wasn't closing properly since the temperature was often very low (I only have 40k on my 2016 JKU and often just use it during the week to drive to the food store or mall, less than a mile round trip). So I took his advise and periodically would run a few extra miles to get all the fluids up to temperature. Maybe its just a coincidence, but since then, no check engine light. That 2mile trip is very hard on a motor.
Wow, that's quite the haul. Where's the approximate location of the property in Arizona?A lot of the mojave miles are from trips to our AZ property, but it's 590 miles one way and 60 miles from town.
8,400 lbs is a lot of weight for the Gladiator, but at least your load is low profile. Nonetheless, that's very impressive! As far as towing, the ram was definitely better but the mojave did just fine pulling the 8400lb trailer 600 miles out there to frame the cabin.
