Set everything up and lights turned right on then I noticed that the one tail light was on and the other one was off. The vehicle did come with factory Halen lights. Since then I have installed LED headlights, side markers, tail, lights, etc. everything has been changed over using JScan. I contacted Oracle and they are sending me a plug-in play harness. The fitting seems to look OK. I’m not quite sure what the problem is. My guess is that each side would need its own harness for power delivery. The reverse lights do work by the way. Does anybody have any thoughts? I am hoping that the second harness will solve the issue.

The harness should resolve your problem. My jt came with halogen and I replaced all the bulbs likes you but I don’t do a j scan or anything else and the oracle lights with the harness works great.

If you have a voltage, continuity meter you need to test all the wires to make sure you are getting power and continuity to the light. I have the rear turn signals from yes, wait for it, Oracle and one of the wires came apart at one of the crimp fittings. A little solder and shrink tube made it all better. You would think that the manufacturer would check each and every unit before it went out for sale. I guess I am getting too picky in my old age!

I called Oracle about their lights. They told me they would only send the harness if the lights don’t work. That turned me off about buying their flush mount lights. I don’t won’t to go though the process of installing, them not working. Just to wait for the harness and do it again

I have the Oracle headlights and fog lights, and I’ve had zero issues with them. They’ve been great. In fact, every single light I’ve installed on my vehicle. I’ve never had one issue up until I installed these bumper reverse lights. I reached out to Oracle yesterday and they are sending me a second plug and play adapter. If it doesn’t work with that, I’m just going to send them back. I am a little frustrated and I don’t have much time to troubleshoot. I purchased this item because so many people had positive things to say. I hope it works out. The only other option is to hook them up to the trailer harness that I have set up for my tailgate light bar. I that would defeat the purpose of buying a plug and play device.

Oracle sent me a second plug and play device for the tail light and guess what, same issue. No functionality on the other tail light. So one plug-in harness on each tail light and I still had issues with my tail lights. The reverse lights function as they should. I suppose that’s a good thing. But I just had a 30 minute conversation with Oracle in regards to this and he’s going to try to finalize some things to send me the trailer plug adapter. The second I put the ground in reverse wire to my seven pin, trailer harness, everything worked perfectly fine. Hopefully they ship that out ASAP. Otherwise I’m gonna be sending this Oracle product back. Frustrating. The gentleman sounds like a nice guy, but it’s a warranty product that was just purchased a week It’s a cut and dry case. I don’t need to be on the phone for 30 minutes While I’m doing 1 million other things so he can ask me questions that he probably already knows the answer to

I hate that you are having a less-than-stellar experience. I know that can be frustrating. The team sounds like they working on a solution for you. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly in the future and we can speed up your claims process.

Can you explain what you mean by "ground in reverse wire"?

I have these same lights and I'm having a problem with the left (drivers side) tail light not working. Specifically, the halo on the outside. If I plug the left side light into the right harness, it works fine. If I remove the Oracle plug and play harness from the equation and plug either the left or right tail light in, the halo stops working again.

I have tracked the issue to beginning within a few days of installing the Oracle lights so I am 100% certain they caused the issue.

No reason at all for a second harness. Just wire both oracle lights to the passenger side harness. I’ve had mine like that since 2021. Not a single issue. These draw almost no power.

Yeah, I didn't realize that when I ordered. Oracle's website isn't clear at all that the harness includes enough wire for both lights.

But the issue I'm having is beyond the Oracle harness. I can remove the Oracle harness entirely and plug both tail lights into the left side OEM harness and the halo still stays dark. Works just fine with both the Oracle harness AND OEM on the right side. Both lights do. I know it's not a tail light issue, and I know it's likely not an Oracle harness issue. I've even replaced the OEM harness from the bumper connection to the tail light and it still didn't fix the issue.

Whatever has happened was definitely caused by the Oracle lights though. Everything worked fine until shortly after I installed them.

Could just be a timing coincidence. If you removed the Oracle stuff entirely from the equation and the problem is still there, it's something on the truck side that's the issue, not the lights. I would get in there with a meter and check wire voltages and continuity.

I've tried that but I'm garbage with a multimeter. I've watched several videos but still don't really understand how to check the pins. Can you point to anything that might give me a better idea on how to do that?

FWIW, JScan seems to indicate there's an open ground, or some other grounding issue. I've taken off both tail light grounds, cleaned them up and reinstalled with no fix. The right side tail light gets power from the same harness as the left so I don't think it's within the bigger harness coming out from above the rear sway bar link.

It has been a while, but I originally had them both hooked up to the one harness and it was nothing but problems. Since then, I had hooked them up to the Oracle plug-in play harness that plugs into the trailer harness. Zero issues seince and it looks awesome. Thank you for the input though. It seems as if everybody has a situation that’s different even though it’s the same car lol

What issues were you having? The reverse lights themselves work. The halo on my right tail light works. The halo on the left does not. If I swap the left light to the right side (and right to the left) the halo still doesn't work on the left. If I remove the Oracle lights entirely (disconnecting the Oracle Harness) there's no change.
