When I take my YJ offroad I am usually the slowest of the group. I tell people I want to get there in one piece, with my teeth still attached and being able to hear.
The things we endure for our vehicles......:like:

I hear you. We have one guy with a long arm Power Wagon in the group with deep pockets. He lead foot's it everywhere. We let him lead and get into trouble first.

If you want to upgrade without going to a lift, then yes, the Synergy +1" coils and some quality shocks.

Keep in mind, the Fox shocks that came with your Rubi and what you buy from Fox are completely different shocks. The OEM shocks are a spec build using FCA numbers, the aftermarket Fox are their specs.

Thanks for the advice. Do you have experience with the Synergy coils?

Yep, fully aware of the Fox shocks. They were replaced when my springs were replaced and I thought I'd wait until they go out to upgrade. I'm obviously rethinking that decision.

What I understand is as long as lift is under 1 1/2 inch say bar links and shocks stay the same

Synergy coils on my JT, no.
But I have on previous vehicles.
I have multiple Synergy parts across my front end and am extremely happy with their performance.

The Synergy coils are a touch stiffer than factory coils on a Rubi. Pair that with a medium tier shock and you should be happy with the combination.
The beauty of going this route, you don't have to change anything else.

Sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks for the recommendation.

Any insight into why they specifically list only the diesel JT and omit gas?
Don't know. But with talks with them. The JL and JT gas are the same.

I felt the rear springs/shocks on my '23 JTR were too soft on the road. It was unbalanced front to rear whenever I hit a dip in the road and the soft rear suspension affected the steering whenever there was a road imperfection. It wallowed like driving a pickup with an overweight high-centered load, except I was driving around empty. I thought it was the coils but I tried shocks first (Fox 2.0 then Bilstein 5100's). They didn't make much difference. Replacing the rear coils with Max Tow coils (used from eBay) made a night and day difference. I still have the Bilstein shocks on it because they have better road manners, for someone who likes a truck that rides like a truck.

I can't say what it did to off-road capabilities (articulation/traction) or load carrying (squat). The most I've done recently is drive around a farm. Empty mine sits about how it did with the Rubicon coils. I wish the spring lengths and rates were published somewhere so a real comparison could be made to calculate ride height and spring length under various loads but I've not found anything.
