So I have found a lift setup I am thinking about getting. It has brand new Falcon Monotube 1.1 shocjs good for 2-3.5 inches lift. Would these be better than what is already on the rubicon. The red rubicon shocks?

Ive had the Rubicon shocks leak on me with less than 10,000 miles,so Id have to say yes.

Thanks for this input. Was it the red shocks or the fox ones that used to come on them?

I am sure only Jeep has the true numbers, but on a running average, the steel body Tenneco made OEM monotube shocks do seem to have a preponderance to prematurely leak.

I would say the Falcon 1.1 shocks would be an upgrade but it is also their lowest tier shock.

Absolutely đź’Ż % the Rubi shocks went to pot quick. I been running Falcon SP2 2.1's on mine and Bam that's the ticket for me . You can set on soft/cold or performance /off road ( alot of people like soft ) i do the other cause I am often running across or down dirt haul roads made by large dirt moving articulated trucks .

Thanks for those responses. I won’t be doing anything crazy and will be daily / road driven more so than trails and off-roading so I think the 1.1 maybe fine for me.

I replaced the "red" shocks because they were too soft on the highway...very bouncy going around turns on slightly rough roads. Went with the Fox 2.0 because they were tested with my leveling kit. Much better than the Tenneco shocks.

The Falcons win because they are the correct length and the red Rubi shocks are nothing special.
