I ran over a tree branch in the road yesterday and it got wedged under my Mojave (Passenger side/Front). Pulled out the 4" thick branch this morning and noticed that it had severed the connection on the Lower of these 2 cables. I do not have any warning lights on and everything seems to be working properly. Does anyone know what these cables are connected to? Again, it is the lower of the 2 cables that has been broken.

TIA

I don’t think those are wires. Can you tell what they are connecting to?

They look maybe like fluid lines or control cables for t case or transmission. Gas or diesel?

I would not drive it until you know for a fact what they are though.

It is the Lower Cable. Connected to the Passenger's side of the transfer case.

I would not drive this until it’s repaired in that case.

I’m 90% sure that’s not e brake. I’m guessing the op figured this out as the replies stopped coming, but I’m hoping they’ll share what it was to see how bad it was.

When it severed the lines - did you have a pile of oil or liquid from it breaking?

Do you have a transmission cooler?
