An 8 in a Jeep... some days i miss my straight 6 that just 'worked'

Not exactly a HP monster - but many of them went well over 200,000 miles without ever being opened up.An 8 in a Jeep... some days i miss my straight 6 that just 'worked'
Doesn't work that way because the MAJORITY of Gladiator owners and Wrangler owners don't do forums - at all, anywhere. If you want your JEEP enthusiasts to stay Jeep enthusiasts & continue buying Jeep vehicles (REPEAT business) then you go to all the Jeep Enthusiast forums / Groups, etc and ask them what they want. I’m sure they have well-paid marketing folks all over the internet getting feedback and stirring up the masses.![]()
But of course….they could just cater to all the NON - JEEP enthusiasts and build us something we could totally throw-up on.![]()
You should see some of the home-brew intake manifolds at some of the shows and race events. One guy made a high-rise for his 327 Marlin. He's got that heavy engine pulling pretty good.Frank Booth back in the 70's was taking a band saw and cutting the heads up. He would cut the heads length wise. One head would be cut close to the bottom of the ports. Another head would be cut close to the top of the ports. Then he would weld the heads together. It would be an extra tall head. Called them Franken heads. He did this on his Pro Stock Hornet.
Evidently someone there is listeningI'm sure Stellantis is scrambling to give all 300 of you a V8 option that you won't buy
It's a safe bet that forum members represent a good cross section of total buyers. No, you have a majority of FORUM MEMBERS who want to speak up about changes. Nothing even close to reality. Guess you failed your stats classes.
You also failed your psychology classes if you even come close to believing that. It's a safe bet that forum members represent a good cross section of total buyers.
If you think that marketing stunt means Stellantis is listening to a tiny group of people that already bought their product, then I have some investments you would be interested in.Evidently someone there is listening
that was the beauty of the jeep platform for me, even the gladiator in it's own way... a light nimble vehicle that can fill a ton of roles. if i wanted/needed a true 'tow monster' i'd want a much bigger platform. Not exactly a HP monster - but many of them went well over 200,000 miles without ever being opened up.
If you know how racing works - for certain races, a company has to sell a number of units to the general public. So if they want to race with a certain engine, it has to be available for sale to the public in so many numbers.Evidently someone there is listening
No, in my neck of the woods the jeep people Ive encountered are pretty similar to the ones on this forum. You also failed your psychology classes if you even come close to believing that.
I've seen them. Made out of aluminum flat plate and tubing welded up.You should see some of the home-brew intake manifolds at some of the shows and race events. One guy made a high-rise for his 327 Marlin. He's got that heavy engine pulling pretty good.
Why do you think Ram brought the Hemi back?If you think that marketing stunt means Stellantis is listening to a tiny group of people that already bought their product, then I have some investments you would be interested in.
Didn’t know the LS generations are still called SBC. My daily work world ends by 1967.Don't get me wrong - i like the SBC and have for years (liked the engine in my Silverado, all aluminum LS) - but trading one set of valve train failures for another?
It's a full-size truck with much greater towing and payload capability.......... among other things. A full size truck needs an engine that can handle the load and not break a sweat. Why do you think Ram brought the Hemi back?
