What Warn winch for a factory steel bumper?

I see that Warn winches are on sale and wondering what is a good one that will fit the factory steel bumper with no issues.

Start by browsing this section of the forum and the "Winches and Recovery Tools" section. There are a ton of installation threads, so you can see what luck people have had with different winches. (I have the HF Badlands Apex 12k, so I can't really advise on Warns.)

One point that you probably already know: with the factory steel bumper, you need to start with a winch plate. "Winch ready" isn't really winch ready after all. All winches and mounting plates have a universal bolt pattern, so you can mix and match brands. (I used the Bulldog plate.)

Good luck, a winch is a great insurance policy off road!

I think im looking at going with the standard Zeon 12-s, Warnount plate and an Epic series 1" fairlead. It all comes out to around. $500. The winches seem stupid cheap on their site.

I saw Zeon 12s’s at a screaming price of $1100 somewhere at a recognized site two weeks ago but that’s as low as I’ve seen.

Warn had this on their Facebook today. It is indeed a scam. I thought it sounded stupid cheap but you never know.
