I have seen it happen, but it is very rare. The tone wheel was in perfect time with the phaser, so it didn't cause any DTCs, just very poor performance. Careful inspection revealed that it was ground out of time, it was far enough to be obvious (looked to be about 15 degrees just by eye), but I didn't bother with putting a degree wheel and dial indicator on it to find out exactly how much.I had a Friend who received a incorrectly milled Cam that was a few degrees off had to send back and they gave him another one. Only one I ever heard of .
