Here, they don't even try very hard to hide that tidbit.
Yeah… this was their little flyer. Dealer General Warranty is the company. Essentially useless. lol. Oh well.

Sure. I’m not bitter. You’re right, a GX500 is an over glorified station wagon you can’t remove the top or doors from. The benefit? Reliability, Access to top notch service, etc.
At 53, you start asking yourself what’s practical and question why you have had certain products for so long… This is my 5th Jeep. Love em, but it’s like a relationship… if she’s cheating and burning thru money, it may not be cheaper to keep her. That’s all. This is a risk analysis.
How’s the GX 550 been? I’ve been looking at adding another SUV to the garage and this is one I’m interested in. Although I gotta say they are awfully proud of this and they've priced it as such. The premium isn’t priced bad but you can’t find them and the ones on the lot get scooped up quick With markups.

Hey…. Glad you asked. Sold the Gladiator. Made some money. Will be selling the Zeon winch and plate locally soon.

The GX is pure heaven. Sofa on wheels. Yeah, the price is steep, but easy 250-300k miles out of it if taken care of.

Picked up the 550 actually. Effortlessly zips down the road. Minimal steering inputs, quick acceleration and towes 9k.

Service kisses your ass frontward and backwards. Completely different scenario.
Lexus had some decent offers (0%72 months).

If your thinking about it, get the equity out of your jeep before it’s carfax looks like a minefield.

I don’t participate much in chats here anymore as I don’t have a dog in the fight, but reading has been entertaining.

Um, well I understand your saltiness based on your experience but damn. I’m quite happy with my Mojave. It’s been flawless since new and hasn’t been into the shop for one thing. Pretty much the same for my 10 year old JK which I still have. No plans to sell it whatsoever.

Glad you found something you like. Good luck with it.

Thank you. I’m not salty. Just impatient and willing to throw money around to not be inconvenienced.

You’ll likely be fine. I had a different scenario. A two week out appointment, 10 days to look at it, no pool or rental car, refused appointments, back ordered parts… nope. Not this guy. If the GX wets the bed, I’ll be pushing for a LS or at minimum an upscale ES until the job is finished… regardless of parts. Dealer said absolutely, “We stand by our product and customer”. Have it in writing.

I’m sure they (Lexus) have their issues. Just want to minimize it the BS.

Even the coveted Subaru has issues.
You bet it does. I used to be a big Subaru fan (6 of them), even through the head gasket debacle. Up until recently, regardless of the issues, it has been the best bang for the buck. Since covid, that's no longer the case and quality/long term reliability has gone down considerably. Their saving grace has been my superb local dealer. My wife drives a 2021, but when she's ready for another, I'll have tough decisions. Mainly because just about everything else is junk these days, too.
