That makes sense, the number would only matter if it was regulating temp on it's own... but we may have just discovered more evidence that there are multiple climate control options.
I don't have an "auto" button. Mine is "Max AC".

Seems I have a rarity. Looking for pics I only find this one. All others say "auto". The google AI says there's no such thing as a "Max AC" in a 2025 Gladiator.

Pressing a button is even cheaper............. and once you do it a few times, it becomes second nature.
Everyone presses a button to start it, fiddles with their favorite music and various other things - but can't press a button?
Does one also get in and forget to press the big start button? Forget to put it in gear?

This has get off my lawn all over it. Gave me a chuckle. I miss rotary phones too.

Not me! they are too danged SLOW. Turn the dial, let go, let it spin back, turn the dial again, repeat........... ugh. was so glad and push-button phones came along.
Now it's even faster.
I like fast. (odd, I own a Jeep)

The higher the number the better chance of me forgetting the number I just dialed. At least I was young back then, and my memory was better. I still remember those old phone numbers that I pushed around in a circle.

Where yours says max ac mine has off and auto.

We have limited images of all of the available control heads however I was able to find one that had MAX AC as well, Its used from 22-24 JT and 22-25 JL (odd) and is part # 7EV00DX9AA. There may be many others but as mentioned photos are limited
