Hello folks, I finally ordered this today and I am very excited about this mod. Ever since I replaced the batteries in my Gladiator the stupid stop/start has been driving me crazy. I usually never remember to disable it till the Jeep dies at a stop sign or when I'm sitting in a drive thru line. Looks like a simple plug and play install.

Hopefully it works out for you! I'm sure some on here will tell you about the poor reliability of the chinese ones, but they're a lot cheaper than the two big names (one of which is a forum sponsor).
I might try a cheapy if they add 2025 to the description.
I can't bring myself to pay the name brand price either.

Pressing a button is even cheaper............. and once you do it a few times, it becomes second nature.
Everyone presses a button to start it, fiddles with their favorite music and various other things - but can't press a button?
Does one also get in and forget to press the big start button? Forget to put it in gear?

You know the old saying you get what you pay for. I spent the extra $ for a better peace of mind and to support a forum member. Not too keen on plugging some Chinese knockoff into my $60 k truck.

Plenty of threads on this .

Of course they will, I kinda knew this before posting but I didn't ask anyone to buy it for me and its on me if it doesn't work, I will just send it back. I'm like you, I can't bring myself to pay the price for the name brand options, but if someone wants to send me one free of charge I'll take it. :CWL:

Sounds like this isn't a product that you would be interested in and that's fine but I kinda like things that make my life a little easier. I can thing of dozens, such as: power windows, cruise control, backup camera, remote start, washing machine, electric lights, dish washer, shall I continue?

And somehow you remember to press the correct buttons on each one.
So you make my point - everything you mention has buttons you had to get into the habit of pressing to make them operate.
You get into the truck - you press a button to start it, you press the brake or it won't start, you mess with the phone and press buttons to get the music you want through the source you want, you press a button to be able to pull the transmission shifter back - but pressing one button is too difficult to train into muscle memory?
You had to learn to press a button on the fob to unlock doors when keys disappeared...........
You have to reach forward and pull or push a window button to open or close a window - what if those are moved to a different spot next year? Or what if you get into a different vehicle and the window buttons are on the door instead? Will you want them moved so you don't have to learn a new position?

Its funny that you mention this because when I get into my Sunday go to meeting vehicle, I am always reaching for the center stack to roll the windows down. I'm thinking that I need to speak to my therapist about this.

This topic and the oil drain valve topic always goes the same way. Either side will usually scoff at the other and fail to understand the utility or lack of it.

Do whatever makes you happy.

On this point - pushing the auto stop-start button is so second nature to me (I normally press it as I'm approaching the first stop sign by my house) that when I get into my 2015 Camaro SS, I always find myself briefly moving my hand toward the radio near the stop sign to press the button before I'm like 'oh yea, this car doesn't have that'

Every time.

If I am leaving from anywhere else I typically get in, start truck, buckle up, plug in phone, press deactivation button, check re-circ on air lol.

I have had that same one installed in my Gladiator for over a year now and it works great and I do not have to remember to push the button. You won't be disappointed.

I am thrilled with my expensive memory module to keep stop-start from functioning. It even remembers after the battery has been disconnected for a couple months. Well worth the money. It isn't that I can't remember to push that stupid button it is that I don't want to every freaking time I am in the truck, and my wife doesn't want to either.
Pretty soon you'd have a nasty finger oil stain surrounding the button.
And when is that button going to fail...and you know it will.

That was funny , I can't hardly drive the wife's car. I cant find any of the buttons. I can't even figure out the delayed wipers . My therapy need is after I drive her car. I am like why on God's green earth would any automaker force someone to to pull down in a lever for the wipers .. I twisted every knob in that thing cabin lights coming on high beam lights .. I couldn't wait to get outta that car. 😂😂😂😂
