One thing that’s rarely discussed when the subject of towing comes up is the trucks wheelbase. The longer the better! I’m sure you have already figured that out and that's one of the reason I still have my F-350 crew cab LWB. It tows like a dream.

Good luck in your new home search In SE Tx. I did my grad work in Galveston and have fond memories of that area.

Thats a little too south for us. We are keeping it about a 100 miles north of Houston and east and the higher the ground the better. Too many rivers and offshoots to flood so need to be diligent.

Nope, it's not dying on our watch without us systematically beating it to death ourselves.

I'd personally like to lean into the fullsize vs Gladiator aspect, and the little turbo motors vs. big old V8's.

But anyway it's a really nice truck and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't gonna at least look at one next year...

Frankly, I'm interested in the whys and whats and whatever. I may agree or not agree, but that's not my choice to make. In the future, what others have said may come back and play into future decisions.

And - you didn't slam the door and say "JEEPS SUCK, this is the last Jeep I'll ever own" although that could lead to some fun in itself... O

I spent many an hour driving between Galveston and College Station. Beautiful (and safe) country up there.

Last month, I traded my '23 Mojave for a '25 GMC 2500HD SLE, for the towing capacity. Looked at the RAM, but there wasn't enough legroom for me.

While my GMC is a nice truck, I really miss my Mojave.

Another chapter has ended. While I absolutely love my Gladiator, I am left wanting on the towing side and pulled the trigger on a new 2026 RAM 1500 Warlock. Only comes in 4wd and towing options and the i-6, Twin Turbo Hurricane SO. It has been nothing but a pleasure dealing with you fellow knuckleheads and I will truly miss you. Stelantis so needs to put the Hurricane in the jeep platforms! The Hurricane SO puts out more HP than the 5.7L Hemi..... Crazy! Thanks everyone for the advise, critiques, agreements and disagreements. We all grew as a family.
