Ya but still it helps knowing if it is under recall or just happenstance for them.
I get that's a thing for THEM, but they acted like they have to do it before they fix it. Warranties don't need recalls, just fix it and then do whatever paperwork you need to!

I am actually relieved though. I've read that for a few years they were having bearing seals leaking. So when I saw the little puddle I cursed. Shocks I can live without, and have.

The thing is they HAVE to verify it's not a recall. That's a major no no if they don't and there is something active on that part. Eithee way you are getting it replaced for free so not sure why it's an issue. I'm curious if it is recalled personally.

They have to report to NHTSA every month the number of outstanding recalls and the units repaired and not repaired under the recalls. It matters a lot to them.

The issue is the implication they made of "we can't do anything about it until we verify it's a recall", which is exactly wrong.
And it's not exactly "free". When I bought a new truck, I paid for working shocks.

Installed the Rough Country Tri-Fold Tonneau cover. I bought this one because the price was right and it had decent reviews. No problems with installation. If I had any criticism it would be that the cover could be an inch or so longer.

Well… I traded it in 🫠

I had to get rid of my previous Wrangler due to needing a truck for house renovations, this time our business needed more of a people hauler and tote/container mover.

With 86.5k miles and a higher value than my wife’s Grand Cherokee with only 45k miles, the JT was the logical choice to go.

So I’ll still be in a Jeep and fully intend to be back in a fresh Gladiator later.

In the meantime, this is what will be parked in its spot:

Just put my new aftermarket Bed rails weekend before last so I can mount the full sized Hi-Lift Jack we originally purchased for my wife's 3.5" lifted Bikini Blue JLU. We had to get a shorter one as that one sit almost a foot above the roof on the tail gate wheel rack. So Snazzy got the one thrown in the garage.

This week I took the 20" FUEL 9" wheels and 35" 12.5 Grappler G3's (about 1/2 wore out) off after doing some interesting drifting, hitting the gas at 60+ on the freeway when the road was wet and the oil not cleaned off yet. Several more times over the next few days similar and almost sliding off the side of the road around a sharp curve and decided on some 35"x11.5-17s Falkin AT4w's for at least the winter. Those Grapplers will be worn out next summer, LOL. I do love the FUEL wheels. Makes her look like a Princess. (yep, that's what the Wife named her...Princess Snazzy-1. I have to get $145 off to the state to try and seal the deal for the plates. Maybe I can convince myself I need to get some Trail Boss 37" 12.5's on the 20's. Those 4 will cost more than my 5-35's, OH MY!

Installed my rear oracle tailgater lights. Wired them to switch 4 on the aux switches.

Did you wire for both back up and aux? Thanks to @WILDHOBO I know what little Amazon goodie I needed to make that happen. Super easy and now bright automatically when I back up and on demand for those moments when someone has their brights on behind you and wont turn them off.

Installed my Baxter Performance Oil Filter Adaptor I got at SMJI. Finally was time for an oil change and most def time to prevent those dry starts, hopefully ill stave off the whole getting on the forever wait list for a left cam shaft.
