Now that cooler temps have arrived in my neck of the woods I’ve noticed that when I fire up my 2025 Gladiator that it’s blowing cold. I seem to remember on my 2020 that when I fired it up that the blower didn’t blow cold air, and the blower would increase as the Jeep was able to kick out warm air. I do have the climate control set to auto and it happens manual start or remote start.

The Owners Manual says, “To provide you with maximum comfort in the Automatic mode during cold start-ups, the blower fan will remain on low until the engine warms up. The blower will increase in speed and transition into Auto mode.”

So my question is, am I missing a setting someplace or a magic fuse? Or is it time to take it to the dealer?

I believe it has a lot to do with the last recorded outside temp. If you parked the vehicle after driving in 78 degree temps, the climate control thinks it is still that temp and is trying to cool the cab, until you start driving and the sensor adjusts to actual outside temp I believe that is how it works since that is how my 2020 works

Question, do you have it set to “HI”? Also, have you selected “Sync”, in the menu on screen? If not, try experimenting with that see if it resolves.

Shouldn't matter. Mines at 72 and Auto, and I have hot air blowing when the weather is cold outside.

Mine does the same thing. It had 25 degrees as the temp on the display when I started it. My 2020 and 2022 would run the fan either slow or not at all until it warmed up.
This kicked out cold air from the word go.

Set to auto, one side set to 72 and the other set to 70.
It's been doing that since the weather started to cool off. And it's been cold enough here it's very noticeable.

@ShadowsPapa - Ok I feel slightly better knowing it's not just me. I have a feeling I'm going to hear that it's either (A) Normal or (B) A Feature. Either way I'm not liking it.

I don't like it either. It's another noise and it's cool air when you'd rather have no air blowing on you.

@legacy_etu - thanks, just like my 2020 is. I'm going to take my wife's 24 Wrangler out tonight and see how it does.

Sure thing. Seems weird that Jeep would change this behavior but it sounds like shadowspapa new 25 acts like yours so maybe they did.

All my vehicles that have auto hvac ramp up the fan speed as the engine warms. Seems like the right way to do it. I mean who wants cold air blowing on them on a cold day.

My 2020 has done this since I bought it used.
All manual hvac,
sometimes,very randomly,
On first cold start up, the fan will blow full force, on defrost for about 45-70 seconds.
All the turn dials do nothing during this time.. cannot control fan speed, temp or change where the air is blowing.
Ive been told this is a safety feature bc the hvac module has lost communication with the main module. Ive heard there is a tdc for this but I am out of warranty so it would cost $150-300 to diagnose.
