They did? I doubt it, they just don't need to measure it. I bet it does have cooling concerns that effectively reduce the tow rating. They don't do the testing to find out like Jeep would do.
Lol, and conversely how many Gladiator people are staying in reasonable towing scenarios. I seen all kinds of people on here towing way above rating

"The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 adds $69,995 to the cost of a Wrangler 392, which pushes the opening cost well past $100,000."

I see the following in that article, not what you quoted?

“The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 is $69,995 and that includes the Wrangler 392 in this package.. While that is an absolute bargain for a Hemi-powered JL, we're not sure enlisted folks will be the ones scooping these up at that price, but whoever ends up with these will definitely have a bad-ass Jeep.”

They updated the article. Certainly is a bargain if that's the case.

The said it's only available to retired or active duty military. At those prices, active duty military won't be able to afford it...only retired will if they were able to parlay their military experience into a high paying job...
Have you seen what E4's drive these days? They will EASILY leverage themselves into a horrible 96 month loan for something like this.

Tow-testing a V8 swapped JT would make for a good YT video.

I can go sit on 127 or I75 north on any Friday afternoon from Memorial Day to Labor Day and watch every mid-sized and half ton on the road tow over it's rating.

Then see 10% of them puking transmissions on the side of the same highways lol.

I was at a campground a guy next to out site had a Half ton Chevy pulling a 24 foot camper told me He was on the 2nd motor and 2nd transmission after having a catalytic converter plug up and burnt the motor up in Tennessee and then turned around and blew it up go up some mountains and letting it stay redlined. Granted the guy was a total dumbass. But a 24ft trailer bumper pull on a 5.3 up mountains. 🙅 dude didn't know how to modulate the throttle I dint figure either.

Yeah, I mean, 99% of people in the real world are, if it fits it ships.

And Facebook DOT never pulls them over and weighs their crap.

On the internet though, the illustrious DOT is behind every tree and bush with the insurance adjuster just waiting to DENY YOUR CLAIM.

I remember right after JT launch, like, within 10 days, some dude had a 24' camper hooked to a Max Tow, fishtailed, and jacknifed it. Was all over the internet lol.
