As said above my 37” c load ko2’s are thrashed, and have progressively been doing downhill performance wise in every area. Hit a patch of ice up in Uintahs 2 weeks ago and my lord did I pucker cheeks. Yes I know ice, but this was worse than anything I’d ever felt before.

-my top choice is the Baja boss at. Honestly, I don’t want to add that much weight at all 4 corners and take a 3mpg hit when I’m already hanging at 15.5mpg. People who added 37” mt bb at’s what was your mpg like before and after? Be adding about 17lbs per corner.

-I’m in northern Utah. Anything from mild to wild when it comes to winters here. Use my gladiator to get to ski areas, to get to trailheads for snowmobiling, and all summertime activities in the outdoors. .

-People in this forum that live in winter areas. What are you guys running for your tires? Do you guys only run 3pmsf? Have you found non 3pmsf tires that were great in winter?

anybody with experience in snow on:
-(2nd choice)Cooper discoverer rugged trek lt?
-(3rd choice)maxxis razr at?
-nitto recon grappler at?

I always run 3peak tires simply because a lot of places in the mountains require winter tires, 3pmsf, or tire chains if you don't have either of the previous two. (yes, AWD or 4x4 can also take place of those requirements, but if your tires suck so does 4x4)

Can't speak for the Mickey Baja Boss AT, but I've been told numerous times they are amazing in winter conditions. I'm probably going to switch to them once my current Toyo OCIII's are done. I also can't speak much on the Toyos since our winter last year wasn't enough to really test them, but they did great in the little bit of snow covered roads they did see.

In my experience with KO2s, pretty much anything will be an improvement.

Loved my MTBB AT's. They were great in the snow, did not notice anything from the added weight. You will not take a hit on mileage because of the slight weight increase, winter gas might do that for you.

I would start checking weights and true overall diameters on Discount Tire's website... Really hard to beat the weight of the KO2....

MTBB ATs have been amazing on my Mojave. Maybe a 1mpg hit, if that. Didn't really notice a performance difference due to the weight. Honestly one of the best tires I've ever used in the winter and all around though. Amazingly quiet for how aggressive they are (probably louder than K02 still, but TOTATLLY acceptable for daily driving), they ride great, wear evenly, and have handled every type of weather/ terrain I've thrown at them with ease. I will be buying them again. 25k on my current set and still well over half tread remaining.
I'm in Michigan, and while the part of the state I live in doesn't typically get super harsh winters or a ton of snow, I take many trips to the upper peninsula where they get absolutely hammered with lake effect snow, and the tires handled it with ease, even on unplowed and seasonal roads.

I have the same 37s as you do and I don’t see myself going away from them when it’s time to get another set of tires, they have been very good IMO in the winter, any tire is going to get worse as their wear gets up there. What PSI do you run? I am at 30 for the most part unless I am going on a long trip and then I’ll bump it to 38 or so

How are you getting that high of MPG? I am constantly at 12-13, maybe can hang around 15 on 55-65 mph highways.

I just changed from BFG C-rated 37" to Milestar Patagonia X/T D-rated 37". They are heavier but truer to a 37" versus the BFG, they are also super quiet and have been amazing so far this year for winter in MN for snow and ice. I feel like they out perform the BFGs in winter so far but it could just be the new-ness. I couldn't pass up the price match deal to Walmart that Discount Tire offered and have no regrets at the moment.
