Jeepers……

I am going to ask for a dash camera for Christmas. I have a 2023 Gladiator eco diesel. Those of you who have Gladiators with dash cams….what are you using and how do you like it?
I saw a dash cam that attaches to the rear view mirror and integrates into the interior design of the vehicle. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with that model and if you like it or not.

Happy holidays

I use the Wolfbox Tripro 900. So far I like it but it is a little large for the JT so it does interfere with the sun visor so if you use them it could be a pain. It also works on a loop system so it records for 30 seconds, 2 min or 3 min depending on how you have it setup and then starts over. The customer service is expectational. They have gone above and beyond in helping me. When I installed mine I used an OBDII power port. They determined it was not compatible and refunded me the money for it. It appeared due to the camera not getting enough power from the OBDII it was not functioning correctly and they replaced it and I had a medical issue in the middle of it and they were not even worried about getting the old camera back immediately and gave me time to recover and never hassled me and I accidently left a part on the camera when I returned it and they sent me a brand new part free of charge. I can't say enough good things about WolfBox and their customer service. I think the 930 is smaller and might be a better fit and I think they just came out with a tripro version for the 930 as well.

Using the same here. The WiFi interferes with wireless CarPlay making it hard to connect to the app but the quality is good. If I really need footage I just pull the card.

Yeah, you have to turn off Bluetooth to disable CarPlay while you connect to it, but the Wi-Fi transfer is too slow for my liking anyway, so like you, I pull the card and use a USB-C card reader to download the videos to my phone when I need them.

I use a Redtiger F77. It's dual 4K but only at 30fps. I've used Redtiger for years and I'm happy with them. Whatever you buy, do make sure that the wifi can be turned off if you use wireless phone connectivity like CarPlay. The F77 can be toggled off to stop interference but like stated above you,'ll need to shut off CarPlay when linking to the camera for set up or downloads. The Viofo dash cams always rate well and I think window attachment may be easier and more steady.

It’s a shame that the ‘already installed’ front & rear camera‘s on these JT’s can’t be setup to stay on and record video on a drive/USB or whatever, similar to aftermarket.

Unless of course…. Jeep decides to make it an option in future vehicles.

I have a Garmin Mini in the JT and there is one in the wife's Cherokee. They are ok but only a 1080p and the app is very slow and has issues connecting.

Since then I have bought a VIOFO A119 Mini 2 for my TJ and my daughter's car. I like them more than the Garmin. Better resolution, they have GPS and the app is faster. I'll be replacing the Garmins with them.

Oh, and the VIOFO is on Black Friday Sale.

I just installed 2 Rydeen Tombo 360x units along with their turn camera system, modified to be a front/rear trail camera system. It's pricy, but the proximity sensor recording while parked, plus the 360° view really sold me on it. Both of our Jeeps have it now. They're currently on sale. https://a.co/d/1H3Q2B5
We had one unit graciously given to us by @WILDHOBO and picked up the second from @mountainpass. The company is based in California.

Garmin mini 2 and 3. Small simple work well. Small enough that they pretty much hide behind the rearview mirror. There is no screen attached to the windshield and not a bunch of useless features. Simple. I have had one on my jt for nearly 4 years.
