I know it's almost 2026, but are a lot of guys wearing skirts these days? Leather too hot in the summer? Only if it's parked with the sun shining straight through the windshield on a 100⁰+ day is it even mildly warm when you first get in even in shorts. It's not 1980, so I'm not ducking short shorts either. Cold in the winter? The seat heater comes in automatically below 40⁰ and if it's below freezing I'm not scraping ice or stirring in it while it warms up. Also not wearing a thin summer dress in the winter so there's that. For cleanup alone, especially the dogs hair, I'm going leather every time. Somehow their damn hair literally weaves itself into cloth where the only way to get it out is a rubber scraper combined with the vacuum.

I put covers on my seats anyways...so I tried to find a Rubicon with cloth, but I had no luck.

I have kids and dogs and still prefer cloth. Leather too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.
Eventually I'll get seat covers if the cloth gets too beat up, I'm fine with it

One other thing that is a downside for leather in Jeeps '24 and newer. Power seats. I would rather have a manual seat every single time. I don't have the patience to move power seats. Thats probably a me problem though.
For some of the special editions, Jeep just covers the cloth seats with Katzkin leather, so they're still manual seats. The other side to what you stated is my Kardashian wife who looked at me like my knuckles dragged on the ground when I said she needs to reach below to move her seat forward.

We bought a Subaru with cloth seats after our son was born, not a great choice in retrospect. Prior to that we’d had a VW with a faux leather, we had a big dog at that time. The leatherette was far easier to clean, while the cloth soaked up awful spills and messes that come with young children.

When I sought out the gladiator leather was a must have just for the ease of cleaning. A bonus is that the leather in the jeep is made to hold up to a bit more abuse in hand with the drop top and intended use. After three years and 59k miles of camping, road trips, pets and such it’s no worse for wear.

Something that only occurred to me later on is that the leather is easier to slide in and out of. With a 2-3” lift and a lowish door overhead, it actually makes a difference I think. Our climate doesn’t break 80° very often so heat is never an issue. In the cold the seat warmers are excellent.

My vote is for leather.

** Car seats can be hell on seat material, compressing the foam and marring the surface. So far the gladiator seats have not suffered from our car now booster seat.

I was to late to change the build on the jeep so Cloth it is. One of the reasons I was on the fence with leather was because I didn't care to have power seats thinking that would be just one more thing to go wrong IMO. If I remember correctly I don't think you get manual seats with the leather in the Mojave. I've had cloth is several other tj's so not a big deal. I'll throw some Carhartt seat covers on it anyways and we'll be good to go.

I'm with you. All power seats should have atleast 2 memory setting.

My opinion... i prefer cloth. I live where its 120* F in the summer, and leather is deathly hot unless you wanna just remote start ac all the time.
Also, winter... now you have ice cold seats that feel frosty. cloth is like sitting on cold jeans.

main reason id go leather, is if you deal with a lot of muddy shirts/pets and need easier to wipe off seating.

also, if this is a 5 year plus keeper... look at used cars with leather, more than half look like assss.

25 mojave here. cloth.
It all depends on how you treat the seats. I have three vehicles with leather and they all look nice after five years and have seen plenty of cloth seats look like a$$

No idea on the Mojave, but my Rubicon has manual leather. FWIW.

Enjoy your new truck!
Yep I had a 23' Rubicon Recon pkg with leather and manual seats. I think that changed in the 25's.

I bought my Rubicon with cloth which I prefer here in South Florida. I don't understand some comments about keeping them clean. They are black. I have the same type of seats in my '16 Wrangler JKU and at least they look clean. Other than wiping then off if I spill something on them (some red curry sauce leaked from the package on the way home from a Thai restaurant in my Wrangler a couple of weeks ago), I think they look just fine.

Ive seen the cloth seats and love the diamond plate look.
I know heated seats is avail in cloth or leather. My current truck has leather and heated/cooled and ive been looking at leather when i recommend a quote at a dealer.
I have kids, no pets. I live in the great lakes region/SW Ontario and even though they get hot in the summer/cold in the winter i prefer leather now. In canada its a $2500 option.
